This will attract even the non coaster fans like Hagrids does.

I would be surprised. Hagrid's has a level of theme and design that this clearly will not, and it is more accessible to a wider pool of guests on a thrill level.

VelociCoaster feels like the appropriate comp (i.e. thrill-seekers will love it, and that will be enough for it to be a successful draw).

I just don't see, "the general public will not care" and "this thing is [insert value judgment here]" as incompatible thoughts. The Toyota RAV4 is going to be the best-selling car in the United States in 2026. I personally think it is substantially worse than many of the vehicles it's competing against. If you disagree, fair enough! That's the whole point! But I don't think, "well it's popular so actually it's good" is much of a counter argument.

I didn’t like Rockit and its premise of filming a music video was flimsy as an excuse to justify its presence in this park. But people liked it cause it was a coaster.

This coaster will at least be based on a Universal film franchise, is responsible for killing Supercharged, and even if I never ride it, it’ll be better than a lateral move replacing Rockit cause F&F fits better in the park purely by being a real movie property alone.

I don’t care where it’s located in the park, as it’s clearly tradition. F&F didn’t belong in San Francisco either.

Just thrilled to see a Fast & Furious attraction at a Universal theme park will continue to see civil, calm, and excited discourse!

I think the name is bad, but I also think it's so obviously clearly silly and bad that I'm surprised there has been this much argument and conversation about it. What is there to really say about it other than that? They obviously should've chosen something different, and they're not gonna change their minds, and that's silly and dumb and bad. I'm sure the ride will be fun, we'll get used to it, and guests will be confused sometimes.

my biggest question is the pre show and queue videos and storyline. the name Hollywood Drift could be easily explained a dozen ways,

(could be as simple as a code name or the name of something within the story, or the name of the vehicles themselves or something,

it's just so easy to NAME something as Hollywood Drift, just a nickname )

but how much story and set up will the queue have?

This thing is also going to be a people eater at a premier vacation destination - and especially for this park. It needs a high profile, non-screen based attraction. This also means less people in line for us nerdy folks other favorite racing ride through “New York/Hollywood/Chicago/Egypt”. Win win for everyone

Are there any plans to "reinvigorate" music plaza for the day guests? I'm sure once the coaster opens it'll improve kinetics in the park, but right now Music Plaza Stage area feels very "dead" and "lifeless" with nothing going on (even more so than before).

I mean, it’s a concert stage. What are you proposing?

Ideally demo for actual park use beyond the Mardi Gras/RTU events.

But realistically that ain't happening, so some sort of smaller daytime show or music act?

I just think such a prominent location should be actually use for something far more useful.

Using the stage for entertainment for daily guests… never heard of such a concept. Much better empty most the time. ;)

I think it’s ok to let a special events stage that gets regularly used thoughout the year be left as such; especially when there are other stages that should take priority. (FFL, Toon).

Are we talking about the same Universal....the Universal that has allowed three live entertainment/music
stages shut down for many years. Yes, it would be nice to have some daily entertainment on the concert
stage....but no way Universal would spend that money for live entertainment. Heck, they even have an
aversion to having real live people staff their quick service food lines. Let the guest, and their phones,
do all the work for them.

USJ has very popular shows on a large stage they setup in Gramercy Park. They rotate them throughout the year. Orlando could thrust the music plaza stage outwards and sideway for similar productions

Let me just say - I never rode Rockit. I never rode Velocicoaster. And I will never ride this.

I'd much rather this have not been a big thrill coaster at all - but it'll be nice to have the kinetic energy back in the park.

All that to say, and it's been said many times, this is being debated because there's nothing else to discuss right now. Once there's more tangible stuff, no one will care about the name anymore lol

I was agreeing with them that they should program and use the stage more
