i like the sprungs for feeling smaller and more intimate, yanno? As far as being IN the vault goes, i think it's perfect. Goblin's Feast and Puppet Theatre all had their big wow moments in the middle(forest and stage, respectively) but when I think about Darkest Deal or Wicked Growth or Oddfellow's, I think about how tight and claustrophobic some of those halls felt. This is all actually why i thought we'd get a vault door facade, it would do the heavy lifting of hiding most of the tent!

I agree that the smaller tents are best for that, but the newer tents were built to replace the loss of the significantly bigger Parade Warehouses. The idea for these new tents is to replicate the scale that those old locations had in a new spot, and based off Goblin's and Bloodlines, I think they can. Since Fallout will be based on the show, I assume it will be less confined vaults, and more big scenes throughout the show. As a big Fallout fan, I would have preferred a vault ala Vault 22 or 34, but I am just excited that the Wasteland is coming at all to the event, even if it's limited by the show. I am still disappointed the exterior queue isn't a small door, but I don't expect the house itself to disappoint.

They are really, really big. When I took the 6 house tour last year, the guide mentioned that a good chunk of the space available for the house was unused, and you could sense that with last year's houses there. The vertical element is definitely plussed in these tents.

Goblin's Feast didn't feel that massive to me when I went through - but it sounds like I may have missed some of the elements lol

I'm not only allowed to have an opinion, Saint, i'm allowed to be disappointed when something i care about isn't matching my personal expectations that i know are within their ability to execute flawlessly. I'm literally asking for a door to be a door here. I don't think that's a tall ask. People can say it's a story reason, people can say it's a budget reason, people can come up with whatever excuse they want for Universal, but that doesn't mean i have to like it. A house can be a lot of things for a lot of people and everyone gets to decide what measures up to how well they thought that house was executed. I'm allowed to start my measuring with the facade being lackluster as hell, especially for an IP like fallout.

I know you're laughing, because it probably is funny for someone who doesn't care as much, but I've been playing fallout games for 20+ years. You know what you're doing here and we literally all know how you react to people telling you to calm down. I know this is rage bait but this is some real ish calling the kettle black, dude. the next time i see you rage about something on this forum, you can see a quote coming your way. lol

You haven't even experienced the house yet... Just wait to make up your mind about it AFTER you do the house. Jesus

My biggest concern with this house is definitely the location, but I have hope they can pull it off. Fallout is so stuffed to the brim with wide open spaces and large set pieces/locations, it almost feels like it HAS to be in a soundstage.

But alas - here we are!

I think y'all are underestimating how big these new sprungs are. They're huge. They'll definitely be able to pull it off in this location

Dude, let it go. He's allowed to voice his opinion and rant if he wants to. He clearly has passion for this IP, and I totally get why he just needed to blow off steam. You adding little squirt gun gas shots to the fire doesn't help. Lay off. (also, nothing personal against you Saint.. just think you're being a little obtuse with this one).

I'm just going by what my personal wishes for this are lol - like LPCaptainDeath, Fallout is my #1 wishlist IP for HHN now that we've had TLOU.

So I am INCREDIBLY excited to see how they do it.. but in my own little bubble, I wish it was a soundstage lol

The town sets, woods, height of the sets and openness of each scene, as well as the ability to see previous scenes from other parts of the house made the experience feel more alive. The house designer was the same that did Bloodmoon and Dead Man's Pier, and without the space they had, the house wouldn't have had had the same scale. My personal complaint about the house was that it was pretty short in length (I wanted even more than we got), but the design I thought was impressive, like the initial tavern, castle and waterwheel scenes. These are scenes that were just not possible in the old tents.

Your snark comment isn't helping. You let it go! The same way y'all are allowed to voice an opinion so am I. I love Fallout like you guys and I think y'all are being dramatic about an experience that hasn't even opened yet and also one we have barely any details about!!! It's like making a rant about a movie based off a minute long teaser. At least be reasonable with your baseless rant instead of writing paragraphs because of something Legacy said

Yeah and we call them crazy LOL. I get having passion for the IP like I said I'm a huge fallout fan too. But getting angry and aggressive over something like that is ridiculous I'm sorry.

i admit it was an emotional kneejerk reaction but the disappointment mounted in a very literal wave when i saw that spoiler picture of the facade and i apologize to everyone for coming off half-cocked. Empathize a little bit, here. When you care about something, you have a heightened sense when it comes to the attention to detail. That shouldn't be a stretch for people who analyze announcement videos and construction threads. lol Seeing a poster being put up for a facade after hearing from the literal creators of the event at forums and conventions and interviews about how hard they're going this year and how they're trying to PLUS the event and make it more immersive than ever for an IP that has been around for almost 30 years isn't exactly what i'd call baseless. it's valid contradiction imo.

Again, we all measure this event in different ways. I judge the event on the houses and i reserve my final judgement until after I walk through those houses, but that measuring starts with the facade. What makes a house GOATED is the sum of it's parts. The facade absolutely adds to the thematic immersion of the build and the hype you experience while you wait and ponder what might be waiting for you inside! Fallout MIGHT be a BANGER house, so it's giving cake that's missing its icing when you see a poster instead of a legit facade. I was wrong in how i expressed that, but that doesn't make it an invalid criticism.

I'm not watching a two minute trailer that shows snapshots of a movie and calling the entire movie ASS without having watched it. I'm looking at a facade and judging a facade. I am not judging a book by it's cover: I am judging the book's cover. We are not the same.

For the record, if I was going to use "snark", it would've been WAY more obvious. To each his/her own.. LP - I get you. Though, considering the news that just hit about Ozzy Osbourne, I really care about nothing else today.. so I'll just see myself out.

When it comes to facades, I fully expected a poster/wrap for the outside due to the location. Because just like the parade warehouses it replaced, any outdoor facade gets dwarfed by the building itself. (While nice, the facade for Goblin's Feast still felt small for me compared to the tent.) They've tried outdoor facades for the parade warehouses, but from 2019 to 2023, both of them stuck with a poster for the outside. If the design calls for it, it's much better to build a facade indoors to have a much bigger impact in a controlled environment. And I truly don't think the killer facades for Graveyard Games, Haunting of Hill House and Legends Collide would've worked outside with a massive building sticking up over them.

As a fan of Fallout, I can totally get wanting a Vault as the facade. But I don't think it would have the right impact looking dinky compared to the massive tent behind it. Save it for inside where they can have the right scale and everything for it. And HHN has shown you can get cinematic with facades, something I enjoy is the *James A. Janisse voice* TITLE CARD! facades. Great examples being Evil Dead back in 2013 and most recently A Quiet Place. And I can totally see them doing one of those for this house. Throw us headlong into the Vault during the massacre for a scare or two, hit us with the Vault door and the TITLE CARD! before heading out into the wasteland, there's your intro and facade.
