I know WDW lovers will purchase the 14-day Europe tickets and it ends up being cheaper than buying in American. And they get the water parks, memory maker, and they get 14-days vs 5 or 7 days.

Are they still offering AP discount on Epic single-day tickets, or was that just a previews thing?

The problem with this blog mickey analysis is that only half of the ticket plans are available to research. As Thrill shows, they're unable to see 6 of the 12 available plans on a daily basis. I would assume tourist agency and other such plans are unavailable to look at. Those numbers can only be guessed at. So I don't think those blog mickey numbers are reliable attendance numbers. And, with how bad the ride capacity has been, I would assume that blogmickey numbers are very much underestimates. The Epic hotels were in the high ninety percentiles occupancy up until last week, for one. ...But I do think that weekday ticket demand is falling in the very near future.

As Bio has pointed out, the guest parking lot is fuller every week lately. Two more rows filled than usual this week.

Maybe less people are using busses from hotels, sure... but also, maybe more people have multi-day tickets not tracked by Thrill and the park is actually busier every week.

There are caveats of that sort within the article.

I shared it more because I think it's valuable that an outlet is drawing attention to Universal's questionable (the less charitable among us might say anti-guest) ticket policies (regardless of how much we can tie those policies to specific attendance stagnation).

Hard to tell, but I certainly don't believe blog mickeys numbers that kind of gloss over their caveats, and doesn't give much consideration to the 6 ticket types Thrill can't access. And they are kind of insinuating in dramatic fashion that's all the tickets sold daily, to get internet hits. ,.
And, yes, the ticket plans are very confusing. As @belloq87 described it very aptly, an
'anti-guest' ticket policy. But one thing is clear from Thrills numbers, which are a floor and not the actual or ceiling, the future floor ticket numbers appear to be softening along with Epic hotel occupancy very recent softening, which leads me to believe that Universal may be forced to adopt a more 'guest friendly' ticket policy if the softening continues after these last couple of the busier summer weeks. Now, that would be a good thing.

Considering how bad the lines are it seems like a case of "nobody goes there. Its too crowded" :)

Blog Mickey has had it out for Epic via Tickets for a long time. Seems to be more of a splinter in their mind more than an actual problem.

Yes, they really misrepresented/twisted the numbers, especially since Epic's getting around the mid twenties attendance most every day, even with their difficult to purchase ticket plans. ....Maybe they should talk about how slow MK has been all summer.

I mean... I still can't purchase the tickets I want to purchase.

I think that's a problem.

If folks here want to defend Universal making it extremely difficult for people who want to visit to plan trips, so be it, I guess.

I think it's a very crummy policy.

And I think it's crummy to find one article that confirms your priors just to get angry about, then lash out saying people "defend Universal" when in reality it's just about you.

Do I want Epic included with my existing UOAP at no price increase? Yes. But it's not, so I acted like an adult with agency and bought two tickets for September.

I'm glad you've got a ticket configuration that works for your needs and when you want to visit, Joe.

I (and my travel party) don't yet. And that's also the case for plenty of others, including some who have posted in this thread.

Just to clarify - what exactly is it that you're looking for in with tickets/packages?

I think it’s unfair to make the Blog Mickey out to be a hit piece. It’s a so-so analysis based on the limited information available. I wouldn’t have written the piece after doing that research, but I appreciate the context they’re trying to add.

The ticket situation is crummy (imo). It changed how we bought tickets for this fall (we won’t be visiting either of the other Universal parks. We’re going to Disney instead.) Maybe it’s working out great for Universal, I have no idea. I also don’t really care. I don’t own Comcast stock.

Obviously they’re not the only ones deploying ticket policies that, in my opinion, are crummy for guests. Everyone is. But that doesn’t make their policy, well, less crummy. At least, not to me!

Anything for off-property guests in 2026 would be a start*, but specifically what my group wants is a three-day ticket with one day at IOA/USF and two days at Epic.

* Unless I'm really missing something, Universal's calendar on their ticket interface does not go further into the future than December.

It also sucks that I come into this thread thinking there's ticket news only to find more of the same complaints that have been around for months. BlogMickey keeps talking about it for clicks, so I don't really read BlogMickey for news.

To be clear, I’ve hated every step along the way of how Universal has released tickets. And I think their lack of communication for Epic in 2026 is so bad it’s almost funny. Almost.

My take is, they don’t know yet.
