It’s a mom and pop shop. Business is hard.

Cruise lines are starting to advertise summer vacation packages now... I have to imagine tickets will be dropped soon?

I can't imagine holding back any longer.

It just sucks because I want to plan out visits with my family members who aren't passholders but we can't. It would also be nice to know when the soft opens are and how they're handling that

Am I crazy to think that we just .. literally might not get single day tickets until the park is open for a while? lmao

Universal has been and is still answering with "Additional product offerings, including single day tickets, will be launched at a later date before the park opens" to anyone asking about it, so that's highly unlikely.

True, but just because they’re sold before the park opens doesn’t mean they’ll be for dates starting with park open.

It would be a very crappy solution for crowd control. I really hope they just start ticket sales this week or the next. Ugh

Not selling 1-day tickets would be a self-inflicted wound.. A 1-day ticket is a great way to convince people who are visiting WDW (or greater Orlando) a reason to travel over to UOR if they weren't swayed by the existing parks.

I can see a scenario where 1-day tickets will be non-existent the first 2-3 weeks, but after that it's overkill IMO.

i think the first 2-3 weeks are already sold out? or at least I think AP holders can't buy them anymore...

Opening day is the only date sold out of the three-day package they’re currently selling.

Spending millions telling casual fans to show up starting Memorial Day weekend just to say, "Psych! You're not cool like our Passholders, you can't come in," would go down in B-schools as a colossal failure on a par with New Coke or the Edsel.

I think alienating/shaking down their passholders is bad enough but that would be a gift of good will to the Mouse.

That's what the soft opens are for: AP only access to the parks basically. Or at least that's how it should be. Let only APs and employees experience the park for soft opens. When do you guys think soft opens will start? Hoping for next month

GP can buy a day (as an add on to a multi day North campus tix)

it is kinda funny that demand is high for Not going to USF/IoA. Oh no, they’re forcing me at gunpoint to ride Hagrid’s!

(But I get it. My third day might go to waste so it would have been nice to buy single-days.)

It sounded like there was going to be a separate allocation of single day tickets for all days that will drop before the park opens… however they also told us early park entry would begin day one and have gone back on that, so I’m not going to trust anything we heard last year as things could always change.

Mid to late march is my guess. Could be the first week but I'm not sure.
