I don't mind the QR codes. I kind of like being able to sit down and scan to order and then just sit and wait off my feet for a bit. My problem with the QR codes/digital menus is that they never offer the customizations I want. Sometimes, it's a preference thing, but other times, it's something like my husband can't have dairy. Sometimes, there's a menu item he wants that would be totally fine for him minus the cheese, but for some reason the online ordering doesn't let you put "no cheese." And we don't want to have to select the option for a staff member to come talk to us about dietary needs just to have them take cheese off lol
Like Cafe Sirene... almost all their breakfasty stuff is heavy on the dairy, but I feel like there were some options that could just have one ingredient left off and still be good and then he could have it. But because they didn't have the option to do so on mobile (and again, we didn't want to go through the extra steps of having someone come consult about dietary stuff), he ended up just getting like a plain croissant or something while I got an actual meal. I feel like it could be easy to add some more customization stuff on there. And if they have since our visit, then disregard
