As someone who REALLY hates Potter and thinks Universal heavily investing in it like this will one day bite them on the ass.

That era is never coming. People somehow are magnetically drawn to this franchise. Give up hope.

I expect the fourth Uni dry park will also have a Potter land.

I think after this Potter expansion they will be done adding things for a little bit.

Maybe some extra dining and shopping but that’s it.

We do have Dark Universe on deck after Potter apparently, but after that, PLEASE focus all of the attention on USF.

I was saying this in response to those fatigue on Potter additions.

Leaving Cirque via show dump, you are spat out facing the area where a big E-Ticket should be, and instead all you find there is an empty unshaded plaza and the strongest drink I've ever been sold in a daily-ops theme park. That land is lopsided and desperately needs another ride asap.

It's strange to me that we're over a year out from park opening, and we've seen essentially no movement on this whatsoever. We saw markers go up late last year, and it's been crickets on the plot since. I wonder if that's why they're trying to push the Monsters project forward too? Is Potter taking more time than they thought, or is this the timeline they set out for themselves?

SoundStage over by SNW is similarly not where I expected it to be by now. That thing is still all dirt. I know a lot of construction and demolition is happening up at North Campus, but we're seemingly pushing mid-late 2027 for SS, and mid-late 2028 for any Epic ride additions. Am I seeing something wrong here? Are there no shorter term plans?

Like what??

Development takes time and this is probably the fastest they can move on these projects. Universal is like any other big company with a budget.

I’m sure more movement is coming very soon.

It's the absinthe, a Paris staple.

That bar still sucks though. If you're serving absinthe, gonna need more than six seats.

Also might need some cots for some guest lie-downs...

I think part of me has been kinda hoping for a 2027 ride expansion for Epic, given the prexisting plans and immediate intentions for further development there as of Opening Day in May 2025. As well as the many issues that the parks' (understandably and only relatively) limited lineup has been causing for the company. At the very least something small like Flying Unicorn and Storm Force around Islands' opening. Knowing that we're now nearly in July 2026 and possibly still over 15 months away from anything new being opened at Epic is unfortunate.

While this may be true the park has barely been open a year. I’m not sure Uni sees the value in investing into quick fixes versus what they are doing now.

Multiple projects that are guaranteed to increase capacity in the future I think is the right way to go. Just doing more maintenance on the current areas would help fix some lands like SNW.

I think DOOMBOT's point is that they could easily build some quick, ornate flats that give guests more to do and improve the park experience by introducing more release valves when other things go down. This would serve as a stopgap until the more elaborate attractions arrive in late 2027 at the very, very earliest (more likely to be 2028). I don't disagree with that take.

Yep, or at the very least, get that flex space open for a show or character activation. The lack of urgency *is* surprising. IMO.

My Google Maps is years behind for some reason so I can't get a good view of Epic - are there many spots where a flat could be built?
