Which is my other fear. It was hard enough navigating around this park the way it is/was. Making that loop around the back even larger will create a bigger headache IMHO.

I believe that the LMA and SOA area (originally tagged as Phase 3) would have been better suited for more PIXAR STUDIOS related rides like the door coaster and a Carsland type setup. This would have left this corridor open and created BETTER flow around GMR.

Well IMO I think a loop would essentially fix the cluster that is navigating this park.

Agree 100% with this. A loop instead of the confusion that was in the past is perfect for this park.

Which is really nice consider right now, the park has 3 distinct dead ends.

I thought the road behind LMA was getting the axe allowing the park to expand?

While Buzz is a cartoon and space doesn't = future, throwing Zootopia in Tomorrowland is basically throwing in the towel on keeping to any theme whatsoever. DLs TL is pretty crappy and mostly space-themed, but throw something like Zootopia in there and you might as well turn the whole place into an expanded Fantasyland.

If you mean World Drive then nope  If you're talking about the entrance though, that's likely being re-routed, but they aren't expanding the park boundaries over there. It's more for the parking situation.

Also, it should be pointed out that awhile ago a permit was filed for a construction entrance to be built off World Drive to where LMA currently is. LMA deconstruction cannot truly start en mass though until they finally move Uncle Walt's plane. It's wayyyyy too close.

Looking at a map, Studio Drive is the one I meant. I don't know how many times I've drove up World Drive and never noticed I was passing by the Studios.

It's on the south end near the highway entrance. The only thing distinctly noticeable is the Earfell Tower.

Magic site is now saying Star Wars Land will not go into the Echo Lake area. It will probably be located SOA &LMA and be adjacent to the TSL, like it appeared on the TSL construction wall artwork. SWL art concept was just posted on the SOA construction wall. A spirited debate is now taking place over the Magic Star Wars threads with many bemoaning this may signal there will not be a phase three expansion now. Anyway, this is very interesting since it goes against the previous plans the Magic Insiders were voicing.

Couldn't phase 3 go in Echo Lake area? I mean it makes sense not to get rid of Indy since they need capacity while all the construction is going on. They have a lot of places in DHS that need fixed so I can see them doing those areas. Like Animation court and Mermaid could go and something else could be put there. I think the more interesting part is how ST fits into all of this.

It sounds like things have changed drastically with the overall Hollywood Studios overhaul IMO. TSL rumored to have its budget slashed from 400 million to 250 million, now this... Couple that with Staggs departure, and I think Disney is trying to minimize overall cost going into the park. Any plans for a possible 3rd phase expansion is probably out of the window for the foreseeable future.

Yeah, that's what it sounds like to me. The previously rumored SW site would have had significant added infrastructure costs. My guess is this saves a ton of money. I've always doubted a phase three anyway, so if it doesn't happen, no big deal to me. The only problem is this will just take the park back to what it used to be capacity wise. Of course, this is still all just speculation. But it sure has taken a different route or detour.

I could see phase 3 being an expansion of Indy, especially if they go forward with the rumored reboot. I still wouldn't expect it to break ground until 2020-2022 though.

Star Wars land was never to go in echo lake since the redo.

Also please guys, you're just going to disappoint yourself with all this Phase 3 stuff.

They also added a SWL billboard on the wall at the back entry of SoA overnight:

I don't think there will be a Phase 3. At least not until after 2030. Never could see Disney doing more than 2 new lands for one park in a decade or two.
