No doubt is this animatronic going to get shellacked but honestly he looks Almost There in regards to accuracy, I’m eager to see what he looks like in person.

Uncanny valley. Sorry. It's 95% there, but that last 5%.

At first glance, I don't like it. Hopefully plays better the further back in the theater you sit.

Using Freshbaked as more of a reference, but Disneyland could not survive without APs. People can still dislike them but the crowds show why without cutting Ticket prices to wayyyyyyy less the park just would not work without APs (really its the same with USH as well and maybe most CA parks)

Same for Orlando, to a lesser extent.

Epcot thrives during festivals that increase local/AP visits. UOR too during the weekends it's very noticeable.

I actually think it looks quite good. The big thing for me is the discrepancy between the audio (younger Walt) and the depiction (older Walt). But for a theme park show like this, I think it works just fine.

Yes. USO Saturdays are crowded every week of the year . AP's for sure.

I've watched the entire Walt performance (because I don't anticipate getting back to Disneyland for a few years), and it's growing on me. I'm sure the fact that just hearing his voice tends to get an emotional reaction out of me plays a role, but I really like the speech the Imagineers were able to cobble together.

Having Bob Iger narrate the film before the Walt AA appears is pretty unfortunate, though.

I wish Marty was still around to narrate the film. I miss that guy.

The audio of Walt sounds from an old source. I understand that is how lots of Americans know this voice but clean it up as if it doesn't come from a tin can would make it more now and fitting the "not just there but close" AA they used.

I know, Bob Gurr is still around and is almost always at Walts Barn and seems like he has good relations with Disney and will be at the Resort the next two days for the Birthday

So no idea why they didn't go with him, someone who knew Walt and helped built one of the OG rides along with tons of other attractions like designing the doombuggy.

It's called 'vanity'. Iger thrives on it.

I got to see the Walt show at the second Public show

1) The Q, while it was already nice they have filled it with even more art to look out, The old Disneyland map is gone and is now a replicate of Walts office above Mainstreet/Firehouse. The Anamtroic's in the second room are very cool and it sucks to lose the DC models...what replaced it is really cool.
2) They said Bob Iger was going to have a word before the show...its pre recorded but people cheered like he was there and then laughed when they understood it was just apart of the show
3) The main show is mostly Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream from over at WDW/Hollywood Studios Park. Its a soild show that has lots of info in 15 mins
4) Walt up close might not look like him but the movements and show it self is very cool. Others brought it up but this AA has to do sooo much more then Elsa, Tia or Jack sparrow and so it might be part of it become just comprimises for what looks good in motion over pictures.
5) The Exit area has some really great art that looks back at Disneyland over the ages, you can also see photos of things from the park history (like the little mermaid meet and greet which is where Tinker bell is now) and also a section with art for the attractions announced at DCA

I'd say the show for me is on the level of Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. I think its fun we have two shows and exited to see how it works when both are running

At the very least the Q and exit area's I think are very nice additions to the park and the show will hopefully make most people happy and a way to sit down for 18 mins.

I hope by Sunday the V Q is done, so I can just enjoy the Lobby/Q areas

Main Street was packed

Though I hear from CM's it was busier at the 60th (which i was lucky enough to be at and still have the map from that day)

Small world had a line going from 35-75 mins before noon. Freshbaked said he waited 55 mins for it. So I skipped it because I'll be back soon
Star Wars ROTR had a 60 min wait when I looked and HM was at 45 mins by 10ish AM

The Train was packed by 10ish AM, I barley got on it at the new orleans station.

It looks like after the little parade at 1:30 PM most people started to leave but overall it was pretty busy

I also went to DCA at 11:30 AM and sadly phineas and ferb meet and greet is gone and replaced by one for the Disney Jr day coming next month.
DCA was not packed but also was pretty busy Soarin, GOTG and monsters all had good lines but I was hoping DCA would be empty because of the 70th but felt like a normal day for it

Also both parks got cool maps for the day
IMG_6713.jpeg

Lastly a note, I hear today they stopped the Walt Disney show V Q at noon today, they got all remaining groups in and now its running like a normal attraction and anyone can go on it for today. So the V Q might be over by this weekend
