THE TEASER TRAILER HAS DROPPED!

Brandy looks great. Rita Ora looks great. Red & Chloe look great (Surprised Disney let Kylie keep the nose ring in). OMG Mad Hatter in his villain era!

This sucks, Wonderman was so much fun to watch and it just makes me question the MCU again. Is there a map for this or not?

Phase one felt like it was planned out and now things like Blade and this are like....so you have ideas and then just throw them out and what those story lines just die?

I feel like Disney has hit a wall finally. Star Wars and Marvel were their two cash cows for Disney+, but both are no longer in the “must watch” TV for many streaming subscribers. Couple this with the soft re launch for the MCU and I think they’re realizing that these other shows need to end and wrap things up. Same for Star Wars after the lackluster Mando returns at the box office. I question if Ahsoka will end things for the Filoni verse. Maybe one more movie or season to wrap it up for good.

TBH it's probably for the best? Wonderman always felt like a project greenlit during the post-Endgame gold rush period. I didn't watch Wonderman, but if its' streaming numbers didn't seem to push the needle, I'd rather them consolidate their output way down from the last few Phases.

Besides Wandavision, MCU shows have basically done nothing but devalue the brand and cause fatigue in potential fans. They clearly want to reboot the MCU soon. The right move right now seems to be to rein in the output to maybe two films a year max, and the relatively rare TV show about 150% proven characters.

I just don't think there is enough energy to retain a notable Wonderman presence in the post-Secret Wars MCU, so, it feels like the right call to end it and move on to something new and bigger and better.

Wonder Man was probably the best Marvel TV show. It’s up there with Loki S1 of the D+ shows at least. It may have appeared to be a forced, random green light to fill out a calendar but it’s apparent when you watch it that they just had a great idea for a show that happened to be in the MCU.

It doesn’t deserve to get lumped in with the rest of the shovelware.

I've heard that about it! I really do believe it's just unfortunate timing. If they want to make a clean break from what came before, I just think ending this is the right call.

It's hard to convince people when you're saying both "Hey guys! Back to basics! Only a few movies a year with new big names you love!" and then barely a step away from the starting line, "Also, check out Season Two of a Phase 5 show you didn't watch about a character you've never heard of". I don't think keeping Peacemaker going has worked out super well for the DCU either. It really only serves to muddy the waters for the GP you're trying to draw back in.

They are throwing out a beautiful and functional wooden desk to help keep the ship itself from sinking. I hope we can see the show revived one day a la Daredevil, but for now, Disney sees the MCU as being the priority save compared to this one show specifically. I can't blame them, unfortunately.
