BTW is the mummy from Unchained meant to be Imhotep? The fan wiki states it's his lover, Ankhesenamun, but there aren't any sources to confirm this.

It’s confirmed to be her by ride director Gregory Hall. I’ve see it confirmed by him on Twitter but the site search isn’t loading right now sorry.

Double-Confirming.

Even Ygor will make references to Ankhesenamun if she gets brought up.

Just goes to show what happens when you go for a more realistic take on an animated corpse and remove the hair and other distinguishing features. Most people will assume it’s a dude lol.

I guess it makes sense. Imhotep's already tormenting guests at another park, he can't be in two places at once.

I'm going to state an opinion that I'm sure will get me in hot water with some: re-watched Tom Cruise's Mummy a few months back. It still sucks, but the design of Ahmanet when she's going to town kissing/face-sucking the life out of those two unfortunate cops looks pretty similar to the design of The Mummy on Monsters Unchained.

Weird question, does anyone know the name of the smell in the bathrooms? My dad has searched everywhere and cannot find an answer.

That movie was awful, but the mummy itself was great. Sucks that such a great villain/design was wasted on such a bad movie that tried too hard to be an avengers film.

It's crazy to think about, but I honestly believe we have this doomed and embarrassing cinematic universe to thank for the wonderful land we ended up getting. Without that added bit of cross-promotion in the mid-2010s, I don't know if executives would be as ready to greenlight a full quarter of the park being devoted to IP that hadn't been much more than cult hits for decades. By the time the original "Dark Universe" slate was proven a dud, the park was already far enough along to where it was easier just to pivot to an original take than to start from scratch.

Amazed that Ministry didn’t even make the top 5. ROTR reigns supreme!

Yeah, you can’t really beat the perfect ride but it's close.

Yeah, for me Monsters Unchained absolutely earns its spot in the top list. Personally, it had the most to prove and it delivered, and not every ride can do that for me...including ROTR and FOP which firmly fall in the "It's good!...but I wouldn't put it on the pedestals others put them on."
