Even assuming your implication wasn't a HUGE stretch (it was a political fund-raiser, everyone takes pics with everyone), only a theme park fan could look at a controversial photo with a former U.S. President along with the founder/CEO of the world's richest company and have their first thought be, "but what effect might this have on a cheesy themed restaurant in an Orlando tourist trap???"

It wasn't my first thought. I saw the article shortly after it was first published and gave it some time to process before even thinking about how it could affect the park, I apologize if it came across otherwise.

And in my defense, the article I read did not include the fundraiser context.

Just taking the piss, nothing personal intended, making fun of that general Orlando mentality.

For CityWalk NYE nightlife-

DJ Chino (well known local radio DJ) in the Coconut

DJ Michael Wycoff on the promenade, most known for Pleasure Island and Atlantic Dance

Bob Marley’s will unusually have Mystik NRG band. This is the Monday-Friday band. Usually they have another band for special events. They’ll also have a DJ alternating with the band

Then Rising Star & Pat O’s with the usual entertainment offerings

Any rumors on a replacement?

I dare not hold out any hope for a revamped Legacy Store.

End of an era! I remember when we were all chomping at the bit for this to open up. I have probably bought more Epic merch here than in the park itself!

With the new Potter and Nintendo sections open within the main Universal store, and the park itself open for nearly a year now, it's definitely looking a bit grey. It certainly makes sense for it to start to wind down by now.

It will still be sad to see it go though! What a cool part of Universal Orlando history we all got to live through together. I'll have to stop by soon and say my goodbyes, just in case.

CityWalk is an objectively better theater, but I absolutely love the Grove's theaters post-AMC refurbishment/upgrades. Century City is good, too, but a pain to get to. AMC Burbank can kick rocks.

This is impressive - but for whatever reason it feels like $41k seems like.. not a lot? For a movie theater at Universal Orlando Resort? lol. Am I crazy?

Honestly didn't realize how profitable my "local" theatres were, at least comparatively haha. :nervous: It certainly makes sense, but it's crazy to see Springs so high up there.
