I think the fact that Celestial Park has less kinetic energy is a great choice as most lands are so overwhelming that it needs the palet cleanser before you enter a new portal.

I can understand this take. I still don't entirely agree, but it is a valid point, especially with hyperactive lands like SNW in the mix.

Yeah if I wanted a palette cleanser at a theme park I’d just leave the park.

And Celestial Park does kinda feel like that?

Looks like they're having issues with the in-ground lighting, all of them except for the ones directly below the Chronos were off.

I do believe that the idea of Celestial Park giving folks a breather relates to the fact that Gen Z in particular has become fairly vocal about overstimulation and many parks are working to address their spaces so that more people can enjoy them.

With that said I do think kinetic effects and energy are still vital for this land, particularly because they are limited in their presence. The waterways definitely aid this, but things like the Chronos Arch really need to be maintained if the land is to maintain a sense of identity and visual interest.

He absolutely loved and was surprised by Celestial. I largely agree with him.

I'm undecided about CP thematically (seriously--I just didn't spend enough time in it on my visit to form an opinion), but from a utility perspective it's wonderful.

He doesn't seem to be well versed on Epic, and kind of admits it at times, but his take on Epic, basically 'theme park design' oriented, is somewhat interesting. It's a different slant than most bloggers, but most of the regulars on this forum have a much stronger knowledge of the park. What I like about him, and I'm generally not enamored with any bloggers not named @Alicia, is that his Epic videos come off like a General Public guest experience, and that kind of gives us a more honest appraisal of Epic than you get from most all those other bloggers that represent themselves as experts, but have no idea what they're talking about.

He’s a well known west coaster - usually does relatively interesting videos about Disneyland.

For me, the appeal is in his well-thought out opinions from a perspective outside of our bubble. We've been in a bit of a news drought here, and we have admitted to have been talking in circles, especially when talking about Epic; so it's kinda fun to hear some fresher takes from someone outside our usual sphere.

Yeah, that's kind of the way I thought. Generally, I turn off the Blog videos that members post here after a couple of minutes....But his blog was kind of refreshing, probably since he really knew so little about Epic, and approached it as a pure design statement.

Any thoughts on what might be going on here? The caps look removable instead of just permanently plugging them/cutting them out. I don’t think these are a huge deal to lose, but it’s still disappointing.

This is why, if you’re on the fence about going to Epic, you should pull the trigger now. History shows us that the most ambitious theme park experiences eventually get pared down over time.

It’s temporary. There was a reply on Twitter that showed areas where the lights had been removed and capped have since been replaced with new lighting. Seems they are overhauling a majority of the lighting/show system in Celestial in preparation for the new show.

Great to hear! Hard to tell when you're not in the park and just see reports.

I figured it wasn’t a permanent change since the caps were screwed into the housing for the lights, but it’s great to hear it’s an even shorter term solution than I had bouncing around in my mind.

I recall those lights being relatively dim, so hopefully the new ones are a bit brighter.
