Ate at Atlantic today. Ordered the filet. I ordered it medium. It came very light pink (essentially medium well), so I asked if they could remake it. The next filet came out undercooked (the manager admitted to both being poorly cooked). I finally changed up to a burger bc I was just hungry. Again I order medium. Comes out well done.

At that point I was hungry enough I just ate it but for a place that is considered “fine dining”, I thought it was a bit insane that they didn’t cook my food right once in three tries and I generally don’t like to send stuff back and be difficult.

In my opinion — no pink = well, light pink = medium well, solidly pink = medium. I tend to be pretty unhappy if steak comes medium well, but I’m also more of a medium rare guy anyways.

I'm not much of a fan of fountain-only "shows", but this could really use fire (solar flares!) & fog. Maybe lasers too.

All themes in one seems to drag at a glacial pace. If they split this up throughout the day as mini universe shows, it'd be better. At night, the last showtime could be all combined, but it feels "too long" for what it is.

Pizza Moon pepperoni and sausage pizza is the best pizza I’ve ever had in a theme park hands down. Complete 180 from the Nanarosa.

They just need to rename the listing to build your own and add a couple more topping checkboxes lol

What is the little restaurant on the left of the Christmas store? It looks like it could be a coffee shop (wouldn’t mind a second Starbucks location that isn’t just an ordering window lol)
And is it part of phase 2 along with the Mexican/italian restaurant?

It’s a second Starbucks location. I don’t believe it’s open yet, but looked pretty close to ready last time I was there. It’s connected to Christmas store building. Separate from phase 2.

Sure expensive food should come out cooked the way you like it, but also remember you are also eating at a brand new restaurant that is in a soft opening. Normal restaurants dont get their gears running smoothly for atleast a could months.

i’m not sure this is true. yes, opening a new restaurant is challenging and chaotic but cooking the food correctly is a fair expectation on day one haha.

I disagree. Reasons food isnt cooked perfect everytime on soft oepning restaurants could be a multitude of things. If things arent running smoothly, chef gets distracted for a minute , boom your steak is now medwell instead of medium. Kitchens need a couple months to work out those kinks. Also even the best run kitchens have slip-ups. As long as management makes it right, ya cant complain about it all that much. You can choose not to go back, sure. But mistakes willl always happen at even the most well oiled kitchen.

I don't disagree with you in principle, but I think it's reasonable to expect the correct order. Management took it back to redo it, but then they... messed it up again, forcing a pivot that was *also* messed up. That's three strikes in a row, and at the prices they're charging, that's pretty unacceptable, even if it's a brand new restaurant.

I've never sent a steak back because it was slightly more done than I wanted. That's silly and ridiculous. It's a perfectly fine steak and I was raised to be thankful.

Respectfully, while I would adopt this position if I was at a friend or family member's house and they were cooking for us, I think one can expect industry standard instructions and requests to be followed at what purports to be a high-end restaurant (with commensurate prices).

its okay to demand more, politely of course, from a restaurant that charges as much as Atlantic does.

That’s why I complained so that they take note and hopefully fix the issue by opening day.

I wonder if they are hiring rank and file theme park kitchen staff instead of what you'd expect at a fine dining establishment. Not to say they can't be trained up, but fine dining usually expects you to have steak cooking experience before they let you cook steaks for customers I'd assume.

If this was Denny’s I wouldn’t say anything. But at the prices they’re charging, I expect to get what I’m paying for. I frequent boathouse a lot and they’re NY strip is $19 cheaper and way better than that $48 filet.

At a place like Kobe I can also order a much better filet for cheaper (and get more food as the portions were small).

If you are insinuating that I wasn’t polite about it then you are mistaken. My friend was serving us so I wasn’t going to chew them out. It’s not the servers fault.
