Just was there the other week - no issues

The minimal Halloween decorations was strange though ...

I was just cruising the hotel vacation times for late 2026, to follow up my June vacation taking the grandkids to Portofino and CBBR.
Surprise of surprises. They're finally doing a renovation at CBBR starting in November 1 and Dec. of 2026, and probably extending into 2027.
Edit: Sorry, but that just might refer to the VB being closed and the paths shut down.

some decent Sept. 2026 AP rates at the on site hotels now. Probably a good time to book before the rates skyrocket, which they almost always do.

I always do a Sunday through Thurs. check. ......Friday Sat. are often harder to get good rates on. The value hotels are real inexpensive and even the Deluxes are mostly in the mid $300's a night, which is good for an Express hotel.....Annual Pass Rates...nice that Universal/Loews gives AP rates far in advance on almost all hotels. They didn't do that until the past year.

Wow, you weren’t kidding. Just skimmed and saw Terra Luna $94 on Labor Day weekend, sub-$200 Sapphire long weekends in September. Good deals all around!

I'll be waiting on my commission checks ;) :lmao:. Any AP's reading this....this is your chance to get some great Sept. rates for HHN. Don't
wait, the rates disappear overnight sometimes. Demand Pricing.

Attn APs: Mad Dog and I will be hoarding all the good rates tonight, and selling them off at 10% markups (I can be negotiated down to a few Duff Beers).

*for legal purposes, this is a joke*

Glad to hear, we stayed there for EU previews and the rooms were looking a little rough around the edges. This is such a unique resort and it deserves all the care it can get.

When you go to the AP hotel selection and hit any dates in Nov. and Dec. 2026 the renovation notice is posted next to CBBR and Aventura hotel/rates. A couple of times I just got a blank screen and had to refresh, then it came up OK. So I'm guessing they just redid these pages/rates. Myself, I just
booked Royal Pacific for $358 a night Nov. 1-7 AP rate. These rates disappear quick sometimes. Last three great Portofino rates I got changed greatly in a couple of weeks.
*Hit 'Passholders'
*Hit 'Hotel Perks'
*Hit 'check rates'
*Move the calendar to Nov. Dec. 2026 and enter a date.
Just rechecked it and it's still listing 'Park Renovation Notice' on CBBR and Aventura..
I'm on Microsoft

Ok so I did those steps and still only see park renovation notice. See attached. Am I missing something?

..You're probably right on that referring to VB since it says 'Park Renovation' notice,, since those are the only two hotels listed. My bad if that's it.....Correction: As you posted, probably refers to VB paths closed to those two hotels.

December of 2024 was when I booked this years HHN hotels. I got a 7 night stay more save more rate that was cheaper than the AP rate. I don't see them doing that anymore unfortunately when I was checking for 2026.
Edit to add the Loews is playing ridiculous games with the prices for 2026, fortunately lots of time to keep checking. See Sapphire Falls below;

Just stayed 3 nights here last week - and quite honestly, I'm not sure what people mean when they say this needs renovations. All the main areas still look good, and our room was great as always.

The only noticeable bad stuff was in the elevators - lot of peeling on the walls for some reason lol

Agreed. I was there for 5 nights last week, and the only noticable disappointment for me was the waterfalls not working on the lazy river, but a lifeguard informed me the pumps were getting some needed maintenance. Everything looked great aside from some expected day to day wear you see at any resort that's been open longer than a year.

I stayed a few months ago and a lot of common areas were looking rough and the specific room I got was in really bad shape too. Trash, food, and used towels in the halls for 48 hours that never got picked up the entire time I was there, peeling paint/wallpaper, torn floor mats, broken light fixtures. In the room the curtains were torn, fridge wasn't working, lights broken, shower head broken. It was such a bad experience. It left me wishing I'd stayed somewhere else.

My stay in March wasn't this rough but it was up there, there was a lot of dings and the soft goods in the room were clearly worn and needed replacement. New paint needed in all the halls, stuff like that.

We must have gotten really lucky!

One thing that threw me off - Shakes is no longer open during breakfast hours.
