Gonna dust off the thread and continue to speculate on the show's location. I don't think this is going to go where Simpsons is. You still think this can go where AA was/next to F&F? I know the concept art showed the entire land being used just for F&F, but that concept art is old and the plan has likely changed. You still think they could cram Bourne and F&F into the same space?

I don't believe Bourne is going in that area, but it'd be real nice to have a little action movie section in the park instead of it getting more disjointed

Gonna bump the thread again since this rumor dropped off hard. It’s quite a shame that the park was once known for its bevy of live entertainment and is since down to just one live show. They could really use at least one more.

I felt compelled to bump the thread again upon the recent release of the Terminator 2D game (Which is cool btw) which of course got me reminiscing about the old T2 show. Yeah I know the graphics were dated even back when they replaced it all those years ago, but the show was still awesome and was so much better than the Minions ride.

They’re definitely not bringing that show back, and they’re certainly not gonna put Bourne in that building; not after they replaced the theater and have set up that whole area for Illumination. Still, I would really like to see a show of that caliber again in the future for USH. I know space will be tricky, but if there’s anything this park has shown us with Potter and F&F, if they want to do it bad enough, they’ll find a way to make it happen.

The park already has a decent collection of dark rides (Not that I don’t want more!) and we finally have a major thrill coaster. Just one more high-tech show would be great for this park. If not Bourne, how about an indoor stunt show with T2/Bourne style visuals but with the Matrix?

i don’t see this park investing in a show. I think waterworld is all we got for a while.

Which is unfortunate. I certainly don’t expect it anytime for the remainder of this decade, but would be nice to have another show eventually.

I agree

But also sadly yeah we wont be seeing much

Once again people can crap on Disneyland but they offer free shows, sure its not as much as pre covid but compared to basically every other park they have double if not triple the shows.

USH right now is nice we have three nighttime shows if you could WW at night, we have two extra singing shows and the grinch reading

But then we go back to January and its....closing at 6 PM and nothing to draw people in until Fan Fest.

Lunar New Years and and a food event (with live music) would help boost the park but USH seems to just be fine with the "run the park as cheaply as we can" strategy along with Six Flags. I have no Idea why Sea World and Knotts can throw events year round with entertainment but USH seems to have zero interest

An idea this weekend I had was to make a stage that they can just hire live music...doesn't have to be an in park band, do what DCA does and hire bands for a week or two and switch. If DCA can just get random bands to come up and play stuff you assume USH could do the same thing

USH has added two new events (Fan Fest and the summer one) in the last couple years, and the 50th not so long ago, so it seems they are investing in entertainment to a larger extent than we’ve seen in a while, just for seasonal events. A new permanent show would for sure be nice though. Entertainment Capital of the World and all that. I think something more kid oriented would better fill out the park than another stunt show though

Not trying to argue but Fan Fest cost extra while Lunar New Years and Food and Wine (and The Peanuts celebration and boysenberry festival) at Disneyland/Knotts are free and the Summer event added no new shows. Its meet and greets which is cool, love that but considering its been 2 years since SNW, the summer event is too little I think to draw in anyone but me who likes meeting characters

USH needs to have something NEW in the park yearly, and I agree something for kids would be great

Some ideas

We just had the Gabby's Doll house movie.......why not use the Dreamworks theater at night to host a Gabby's Doll house show. The Panda show does not have anyone in it most nights, so it would draw people in it. To me Dreamworks is the key, have it have Panda until 3 or 4 PM, then switch it to anything else to get people to stay and also provide something NEW to do

We also have the court area next Minions/french street (its used for HHN houses) and right now its pretty empty and could have been used for a live Wicked Musical show.

Lastly The Flex space was used for a Concert and will be used for Eve....why not bring a band down there like The Flux Capacitors there for some sort of spring event?

Grinchmas is packed and I know some will argue its because its the Holidays but HHN and Fright fest were packed on the Sunday after Halloween....people just want an excuse to come out but the park has to provide one. Its why Disney is allowed to charge so much because there is less time without an event going on in the park then when one is happening

Not asking for HUGE events but can't imagine Lunar New years cost that much, it was Mr Ping, a kids show, a drawing show and Megaton.

Have it come back to the Plaza, have the noodles there and a food take over at Hollywood and dine, Do a live kids show and a live music show and throw in some exclusive meet and greets and see how it goes now....theme parks are different then the 5+ years ago when they tried it before
