It seems that Disney, after a two decade love affair with media, is finally seeing that the strength of the company is its Theme Parks, And they're prepared to invest in them.

Who would have thought that a business that continuously increases prices YoY and still sees attendance changes YoY is something you should keep investing in?!?

This is damn funny. ‘To answer your question about what we’ve got ready for 2025, I’ll tell you what we’ve built the past seven years!’

Then to add to the madness of the comment, it’s 11 attractions listed across four parks in that time. Not a horrific total until you see that Universal has added six attractions across two parks in the same timeframe…oh and Volcano Bay.

Everything he lists there was Disney catching back up to Universal after a decade of stagnation.

We’re talking about 2025, Bob!

Honestly to be fair, I get parks are a massive part of D23. Why reveal anything major, or even minor details today? D23 will be 2017 levels for the parks imo.

Why give away the info for free when people are willing to pay thousands of dollars to sit in an auditorium for it?

Because honestly, they should be teasing & hinting at everything & anything they possibly can. Especially when people can just not pay to go & watch a live-stream for free.

I hate to say it, but these companies might still really need to lean on media if another disease hits.

Also to add, I'm curious if we get the TBA opening announcement tomorrow alongside this. Probably not but it would be nice.

But why tease something that isn't under construction, and won't open for years, when people are going to pay thousands of dollars to sit in an auditorium to listen to you tease that? They will want to get those same people to pay thousands on dollars next D23, so they need to give them something new. Teasing anything before that makes no sense.

Because you need people to care? I wouldn't blindly invest in something I can watch online for free at home.

I can sit at home and watch the Super Bowl(or insert about any event thats on TV) for free. They don't have any problems selling tickets.

In the Disneysphere, they'll have no problem selling D23 tickets. Especially if they think they'll get first look at new attractions. Just because you(or I, for that matter) wouldn't pay to go, doesn't mean there aren't tons of people that will.

Excuse you.. as a sucker who bought a ticket, I actually don't want this blue sky crap whether at a panel or not. :lmao: I feel like anything Disneyland Forward-related has almost been like dangling carrots to get the approvals they need by way of promises of Frozen, Wakanda, and now Avatar. A "possibility" is great and all but D23 better include concrete plans & dates.

Show concept art, will or will not be build, 6 years to build it.
It's hard to get excited with whatever they come with as you never know if it will be build, so much is cancled in the past. Remeber the Disney Decade? That was a joke.
