My bet is something new for Disneyland for 2030...its the 75th and will be a while by then since a new attraction was added

I assume mostly we will see ride updates at Disneyland the next few years and maybe a new parade

Ride updates and nee entertainment for sure. I think a new TL might be the focus for the 80th in 2035.

Finally, and just in time for the biggest slump in the franchise's history.

It is insane how much Marvel has died since this was announced

I think Star Wars has some issues but because its older (yeah yeah comic book fans arent the same thing as people seeing a movie that blew there minds 50 years ago) as a movie series sure people don't watch everything but I assume the Mando movie is going to make bank...but MCU can't make money to save their lives and with RDJ getting 100 Million for showing up in the next film even if the next Avangers makes a good deal it already has a 100 million dollar hole in it before paying other actors, effect, marketing...etc

I hope the ride gets it right and is fun. I doubt I will be blown away but would loveeeee to be surprised. I love the Marvel characters but the brand is dying

Marvel is an evergreen IP. It will always be around in some form. Thats why the campus was designed to evolve. Hopefully they are putting most of their energy behind the scenes to figure out a post Secret Wars soft reboot strategy that can win back the crowd.

I stand by my point that this ride should’ve been open 2023 at the latest. Opening this ride about a decade out from Endgame is waytoo late.

I'll be happy to eat my hat on this if I'm wrong, but I just don't buy this argument. By the time this opens, it'll have been long enough that people our age will look back fondly (some might say nostalgically) on the Iron Man to Endgame era of Marvel movies, if that's not already happening.

The MCU has obviously peaked and I am seriously skeptical it'll ever reach those heights again ... but you could make an argument that Star Wars peaked the day Empire Strikes Back came out (I wouldn't, but you could) and, uh, here we are. People aren't going to stop loving Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man and Chris Evans as Captain America just because the new stuff doesn't hit like it used to.

We shall see! It's all moot if the ride sucks.

Would point out that Universal (and, unfortunately, JK) still gets mileage out of Harry Potter despite being more than a decade removed from Deathly Hallows and audiences completely rejecting the spinoff Fantastic Beasts series after three movies when they were planning five.

If it's a good ride, it'll bring people in. If it sucks, then lolol Disney what r u doing.

Yeah, I'm also in the boat that as long as the ride is good, the time it took to finally get it does not matter. One of the best recent examples is the Tron coaster at MK, a coaster which took forever to open...but that is completely moot at this point since the ride is open and it's a very fun one. The fun overrides the length it took to open.

Now if the ride turns out bad, then we've got a different story. I honestly hope that does not turn out to be the case.

Classic example also: Waterworld!

I do agree a little with @Freak though: if they wanted this to have the *most* impact, then they probably shouldn't have delayed this long.

Then again some of it wasn't their fault, but circumstance. The original quinjet system was ambitious but the capacity issues killed it. Then Covid happened coupled with an overall drop-off in the MCU's popularity, not to mention Boseman passing. So Disney probably wanted to take their time to ensure that they could nail down a concept that could stay fresh and evolve no matter external factors.

I am pretty sure more details on ID and SFL will be at the top of the list for DD23 2025 announcements. Might get an opening timeframe confirmed.

I think you could argue that their failure to come up with a system that worked is their fault. But yes, I think we continue to understate how big an impact the passing of Boseman and the pandemic had on this attraction in particular.

They could have been going this fast the whole time?

Guess they really will hit 2027, DCA sweep coming in fast and furious.
