Hi everyone, I hope this is okay to put my review here, I am combining everything this is my first time doing a post this long on this fourm. If not please remove it or move it where it needs to go. Thank you.
We arrived at Stella Nova about 8;15 yesterday morning. We checked in and hopped the bus about 8:45 over since it was waiting there. When we got there the lines to get through security was to the restrooms in the back, We did stand to the left for some shade. It was me and my DH who are premiere passholders. We decided to do the resort to get EPA.
We did have an issue going through security and we did make a comment to guest relations on it. They built the security so close to the entrance turnstiles that the line was backing up to the detectors. We got stopped one family behind the detectors but are bags, wallets and phones went through and were sitting in a bin for about 10 minutes. I was not comfortable with this cause we had our stuff exposed, we are used to citywalk where you go right through and your stuff comes out the same time.
Once we got in we went to SNW, we went to right to DK and waited about 75 minutes, 15 was cause it wasn't opened yet then about 60 in line. The ride was short but fun, I think it is a bit rougher than it needs to be. I get the jumping track and wild ride but something was off and it shook more than it should have. I would ride it again but not for that wait time. I was very excited for this ride. We were going to head right to MK but it was close to 11 so decided to try for MoM, nope had 5 different times I clicked a time, POOF gone. We proceeded to Mk. MK was disappointing for me, kind of like F&F, I think it could have been a different type of ride but with that said it was very confusing. I felt that the instructions on what to attack were not clear. I just steered and shot at anything. I felt it was a bit disoreinting and could cause some motion sickness. I would try it again but would research more on what to shoot at and not wait 80 minutes for it. My one complaint about this world is it is loud and overstimulating. I would suggest anyone with sensory needs bring ear buds or head phones to help drown out some stuff. I do have someone close to me with sensory issues.
We had lunch at Meteor Astro Pub. I do have a dairy allergy so it can be a chore dealing with restaurants in general. I put my mobile order in and when we got to a table a chef came and talked to me before the order was done. I found they were not as flexible as could have been. There was a dairy free roll with the vegan special but they wouldn't replace it out for me on another dish. I haven't encontered that before. I had the vegan sausage, it was good but probably wouldn't go back there.
We did dinner at Le Gobelete Noir. The chef was a bit more accomodating, we shared the corned beef style sandwich and the bratwurst sandwich. The food was great and would go back here again.
We went on Stardust racers next, It was a 15 minute wait, we rode the green side in the middle and it was amazing. My DH and I thought it was a notch up from VC (which is a great ride) and we think this is the sleeper hit of the park. It was consistently 20 minutes or less all day. We did do the yellow track later in the day and I found it a bit rougher and enjoyed the ride on the green track better.
We walked through Dark Universe didn't do any of the attractions. It's a cool land but not much there I think an expansion will help it. I am trying to work up to do Monster's Unchanined. I get sick on FJ so I am not sure on this. My DH might go on first to see if I could handle it when we go back. We walked through Berk, the show was closed, we don't do water rides, the other two had longer waits and decided to try them in a few weeks. We both agreed this land is amazing and one of our favorites. I know when we bring my adult kids in Novemeber we will spend a lot of time here.
We were able to get 2 VQ for MoM. The first was a fluke at about 2:40 my DH was on it and the light turned blue he went in but no times, he stayed in till they dropped the times at 3 and we got one. After our ride we tried for the 6 drop and there were a lot of time being released and was able to score another. We noticed that the 11 drop only had times after 3, the 3 drop had less times but then the 6 had a lot. The ride was awesome, and the queue is jaw dropping. The first time we only waited about 25 minutes to get on but the later evening we waited about an hour. We did not get to see the show in the land.
We bought a souvenir cup, we got vegan ice cream ( I believe it is a frozen yougurt style, it had a tang to it, not sure I would get it again) I did buy some vegan choclate in one of the shops.
Overall awesome time, I am so glad we did the AP preview. After our experience My DH and I decided to change our June dates to May 11th and stay at Helios. This is just my opinion, but I think it is going to be to crowded and I am afraid there will be queues just to get into portals, I think getting food will be a challenge. I envision massive waits for everything. The heat and lack of shade is a deterent with a big crowd for us. I will gladly do another preview. We were lucky everything was running minimal delays. Any of these rides can be down in June anyways, the low capacity is great to walk around, eat and do some rides.
We will be going with our 3 adult kids in November and December once it is cooler and in swing a bit.
Any questions feel free to ask
