I have a titanium hip joint from an operation. The doctor gave me a medical signed card that indicates the metal implant. I almost always set off the detectors wherever there's detectors, but I show them the card, and there's never been an issue.

Yep, we showed his Medtronic implant card and it was still an issue. I'm assuming it was just a training issue, but it was quite embarrassing.

You have to get the virtual queue first then when you get there you show them the pass and they send you through the alternative line. You don't get to go through the line without a valid VQ according to the day we were there.
