High on S2 (and my S1 rewatch) I checked out Rogue One for the first time since in the theater. I remember thinking it was decent, but the backstory of Andor elevates it a lot. While not quite as good as the show, pretty easily my #3 SW film of all time, behind only Empire and the original.
That said, it's jarring how this grounded 26-hour study of morally grey characters exploring dark, complex themes relating to politics, war and the compromises we make with ourselves to do what we see as "the right thing" ends with 5 minutes of the evil laser sword-wielding space wizard casting spells to whoop a bunch of soldiers. It's like Maleficent showed up at the end of Game of Thrones.
