Sucks to hear

I would have gone to it....but I get it. If they were building it before Covid I'm sure it would have happened but...it's just different now.

Thank God for Universal otherwise we would not be seeing too many new parks in the US.

American Heartland Theme Park, planned for Oklahoma, "failed," according to a new lawsuit. The lawsuit claims park developers coerced an investor into funding $60 million by sending him hundreds of texts and emails pretending to be God. Details: https://buff.ly/6o2b9gO

The fact that one of the people he's suing was also involved in that bogus "DreamVision Mountain" theme park makes this guy look like he did zero research before giving them all that money.

How did such a naive person ever accrue that much money? A pure example of a sucker is born every minute. ....Scam artists/white collar criminals really should get way more jail time than poor petty thieves get, but it rarely works that way. I really have no sympathy for any of the people involved
in this.

No insight into this case specifically, but I will say senility sneaks in slowly, and those closest to us often don't want to see it. My dad spent his last 5 years in memory care, but looking back, the signs were there years earlier. Wouldn't be shocked if this is similar.

Agreed penalties should be much harsher, for what it's worth.

Yes, I've seen the senility and the sliding. I'm not sure if this was possibly that, or more a case of religious zealotry. I'd like to see more of his past background to see if he's been a zealot before very old age..........
With the pastor/scammer, it's definitely a case of so many incorrigibles that use religion to scam people and/or as a power thing.

I'll be shocked if this actually ever gets pasted the concept art phase. I have my doubts.
