Honestly, this season has been rather enjoyable from a moderating standpoint. The lack of knowledge has created some decent chatter for the most part. Agreed, when everything is revealed too early, there's just nothing to truly speculate about. And while under extraordinary circumstances, 2021 was easily the worst offender in that regard.

A nice advantage to being more in the dark is when something is announced/revealed, it's a flurry of info and extra spec/discussion on what you might see, where could it go and so forth. And time ends up flying quick because of that. Meanwhile if you know everything beforehand, you've already done a good chunk of that already, so you're just waiting for a confirmation, and each one feels so much longer in-between.

I don't think she'll headline the event. I could see Lady Gaga getting a scare zone similar to how Rob Zombie was given one based around Hellbilly Deluxe in 2019.

In all seriousness though, I really hope they're serious about pulling back on spec maps. It was kinda fun at first but the more accurate they got sooner in the year, I feel like that really wore off fast and by now was just kinda straight up spoilers. I doubt it's a controversial opinion, but to me the fun of speculation season was always the wild goose chase of trying to know whats coming, rather than actually knowing, even if a few things were spot on, there was always a nice mix of the satisfaction of accurate guesses along with the genuine surprises, really felt like getting to have our cake and eat it too.
I can't really remember the last time we had a year where announcements were a true surprise as they came, but I really hope this is one.

Now if only we can go back to having all the house/ticket announcements in August.

Watching fans go through withdrawal without them is too much fun!

I miss that website.. back when it had games and reveals and such. It was so much fun! Now, it's just a boring vehicle for basic info. <sigh>

Also, I'd LOVE Lady Gaga at the event! Not that I'm saying it is happening or that I even THINK it would happen. I just think it would be amazing. That one, I could get on board with.

I am torn about the spec maps and discussion here. I enjoy the maps because it's at least something tangible to get excited about even if it's not accurate. Though I do agree with the flip side of it that if it is TOO accurate, then we lose the conversation here. It's a double-edge sword for sure. I guess I'm just impatient and greedy. I want it all!
