So I know this coaster will take a little while
But don't they also need a new tram loading area first? I know rumors are the current construction of the new area down the hill behind Despicable Me ride, but do we have a permit like this to back that up?

Tram will be able to go under the coaster? Since its going down the hill next to the fire station

Shouldn't affect the roadway that much.

It should be. I seriously doubt they're going to plan the whole coaster only to be like "Whoops, we forgot to leave room for the tram to drive through!"

Beyond hyped for this, but I'm still having trouble visualizing the layout here, especially as it pertains to the firehouse. Can you really put a roller coaster track "in front" of a firehouse?

This is probably a Mack coaster, right? They have history with Universal and experience building a coaster on a major hillside.

Ah yes, this is most certainly good news for the day!

If this turns out to be HW's equivalent (or anything close to) Velocicoaster, then I'd say HW is in for a real good stretch of additions!

Hype hype hype! Hope a lot of effort goes in the theming and this ride NEEDS on-board audio.

I wonder if this will launch into a top hat, then drop down the hill? That would make for a world class first drop (not sure how tall the hillside is, maybe a couple hundred feet?).

Do y'all think Cosmic Rewind meets Helix (At Leisenburg) are appropriate comparisons for this coaster?

I don't think there are any comparisons for this if it's got a launch spike and drifting. Maybe Ice Breaker with something new?

I really hope that this is a full scale expensive version of whatever they’re building similar to Velocicoaster. I’m so tired of the west coast always getting shafted on their rides getting the scaled back version or light version….. Nintendo World, Mummy Returns, Journey to Atlantis at SWSD ect….

As a status report: P409 (Hollywood Drift) has now since been edited to omit the vital information.

Just a rumor folks, no coaster to see here. Please go about your normal forum posting.

I’m kinda shocked at how specific that permit was. Well, we already saw it.

West Coast isn’t as experienced with the Permit Princess yet.
