So, is Casper just on this piece of merchandise because he is considered a “Studio Screamer” or will he be involved in the event in some other way?

Okay, I feel like I'm in some alternate reality right now.. I went to HHN last year in Orlando and do not remember a Pumpkin Lord and all the walkthrough videos look like an actual house, whereas the thing I recall going through had a big opening with a ton of pumpkins that led down a long hallway..

Did it change or am I completely forgetting/misremembering?

Edit: Another key thing I definitely remember is a GIANT PUMPKIN at the very end that was a huge animatronic. I don't see that in these walkthrough videos.

From the video's I'm seeing I thought it was the first image below, but what I remember most was the second image.. I don't remember seeing the first picture at all, no idea how I forgot all of this as I recall loving this one and Puppet most. 26 with the memory of an 80 year old I suppose..

Disappointed that my 31 days till HHN31 theory didn't pan out. At this point it might be the 16th with food and drinks announced on the 23rd. Tribute store open 22nd?

Could be wrong, but I seriously don’t believe that would wait that long. The 16th would be cutting it too close I think. I think announcement will be by next week and I’m guessing more likely by next Tuesday.

I think there is a large segment of the population that has a "wait, but it's not October yet" type of mentality when booking for HHN

There's a reason Hell Week is the way it is

These are the same folks that don't come into the park for HHN until it's dark

And I would argue that HHN could simply drop dates and nothing more and people would still show

What's with Casper???

That was the first leak that got purged from the site and had people freaking out that Casper was replacing Evil Dead.

Seeing the new merch, it's clear that like Chucky who always shows up and is rarely at the event, Casper is a well known IP that has a ghost that could easily be marketed when talking about "traditional halloween". Wouldn't be shocked to have a Casper trick or Treator or some kind of prop in one of the zones.

even if casper was not in the event, i would love to have the movie be a house at hhn. his 3 uncles are very horrible lol. just with the uncles you have enough for a great house.
i really hope that having casper on merch could mean he comes back in a future house. make it the comedy house

Well they wouldn’t have the event start September 2nd if they listened to those people. They can’t wait too close to the event without announcing more than half of the event either.

If it was more IPs I would say you are right but it seems like they have little love for originals in marketing. It's going to be a crazy dash to the finish line for them this year from the looks of it

random.. but heard talks that a popular attraction won’t be open for HHN this year.. but rather a new one will be… intrigued to see how they pull this off (if true)

And oh they’ll still get decent amount of people like us diehards, but at a certain point before the event they do kinda need to announce what most of the event is. A lot of people do want to know what they’re signing up for.

It was august 12th last year when the event started September 3rd, so the equivalent would be the 11th, next Thursday. Idk, I’d be shocked if they waited past that. I thought that was kinda pushing it.
