Given the parks limited capacity at the moment, what would be the point in rushing velocicoaster opening that early since they are likely to hit capacity anyway?

I don't know that it's necessarily a forgone conclusion they will hit capacity for spring break, especially with new strains of covid in the area and the prospect of the safety of a vaccine so close. People may not come to the parks in those numbers. And they don't have the same ticket program they had before Christmas.

I don't think there's a bad time to open it. It's not like if they open it for spring break people will only come for those three weeks, then no one else will come until summer. Word of mouth/media will help people decide to book trips for the summer, and bring locals for the rest of spring into the peak summer season.

For IG, Grand Opening maybe. I expect softs sooner than that.

For VC, keep in mind they haven't even finished the entrance. It will be a hot minute before it can soft.

Meanwhile, Disney has Ratatouille which they’ve only described as opening “This year.” I wonder if it’s a game of chicken as to who’s going to announce a date first, but then again I’m sure each company will come to their own decisions with all the health, marketing, etc specialists who advise on these things. All signs point to Ratatouille opening first but it’s funny how both projects seem to be waffling around in the same vague marketing territory at the moment.

And how much longer than 200 hours will they need to test and adjust the leg ticklers?

Not sure, but we’ve had leg ticklers here on Hollywood’s Velocicoaster since shortly after opening.

Hopefully, the early concept art that leaked which had Dino’s all around had a big guy, so I’m hoping he’s at the end.

If not, we do zoom by Raptors on the ride so it could simply be alluring to that
