that would mean jaws could be very well be brought back to the table if a classic monster land is added. Jaws is a classic Uni Monster of course. One thing i would like to see of jaws that we haven't seen in a attraction is make Amity island like a beach make a little village too like in the first film if Uni were to go their. I am not sure if Welcome to Amity Island sign was at USF with the girl pictured in the water. That could be a possibiity. But jaws is a Long shot to comeback just like BTTF. Maybe ghostbusters since the 3rd film was recent. I might be taking this one s a it far but any chances we see an attraction of Close Encounters of the Third Kind over at a Sci-Fi area at a 3rd gate. It's a old old film but a obvious classic Spielberg flick.

Ehhhh...

Jaws isn't considered one of the "Classic" Universal monsters in the trademarking sense. Basically, if it's not one of the black and white film monsters put out by Universal before 1950, it's not in that crew.

Frankenstein
Dracula
Wolfman
Bride of Frankenstein
Gill Man (Creature from the Black Lagoon)
Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde
Invisible Man
Phantom of the Opera
Quasimodo

Those are your "classic" monsters.

ok my bad but what I am saying is Jaws not good enough to be brought back to life in a future Universal Park or is Uni pretty much done with Bruce? And Doc Brown BTTF?

Considering Doc Brown's "future" was three years ago?

Yeah, I think it's done.

There are no actual rumors/evidence that Universal is look at rebuilding them.

I could almost see them resurrecting the Van Helsing concept as a starting point for a Classic Monsters area. An Old World village complete with a castle in the back drop.

Man, you could make a ton of rides out of those IP’s alone.

Just imagine if Uni did a Phantom of the Opera show....

so your saying Jaws and Ghostbusters are possibly open since you think BTTF is done? But even from a scale of 1 to 10 how likely is a horror section going to be added to a 3rd or 4th gate?

Question 1) I don't think any of those three are happening.

Question 2) I think a "Classic Monsters" section is a potential addition. That is different than a "Horror" section, which I don't see happening.

Ok not likely Universal will resurrect jaws or ghostbusters or BTTF. But look at King Kong he was brought back to life. Ghostbusters couldn’t be out of the question due to the 3rd film just recently being released like 2 years ago. Still relatively new.

You mean the most hated thing in the history of cinema? Yea, that would go over well.

Personally, I'd love to have a classic Ghostbusters show come back to the resort, but I just don't see it happening. Other parks and attractions have used Ghostbusters in recent years too, so for that reason alone I'd probably count it out.

Universal was involved in nearly every US release of King Kong since the 1930s....that's why they revived Kong, additionally they were originally involved with Kong: Skull Island but WB allegedly stated they would give them a cut of the shares if they could distribute and use for part of their monsterverse. Universal has no rights nor any connection with anyone regarding Ghostbusters nor was the reboot of Ghostbusters successful worldwide.

I have a new blue sky wish for the next Park. I would love to see Godzilla vs. Kong. The movie is due out in 2020 so it would be easy use for a ride.

TY. Interesting. Kind of a modern Godzilla with a heavy dose of Transformer stuff, kinda.

Jaws and Back to the future none of you guys think it’s just not popular enough to bring back to a 3rd or 4th gate? I mean I know it’s outdated. But your you don’t think we can see a different take with some new theming to both franchises? Are you just saying with these 2 movies it’s pretty much been their done that now let’s move on from the Bruce and Doc Brown days? Got another question what if Jaws is popular enough to bring back for the mega shark movie The Meg which is being done by Warner Bros. due to hit theaters this summer? It’s not likely they would bring a Meg Attraction to a 3rd Uni gate or 4th because it’s Universal but it will make us movie goers think it’s not safe to go back into the water you know feeling. Meg is supposed to be much bigger than the well known popular Bruce himself who was really 30ft they never made him
His true size in Jaws the great white was listed at 25 ft according to Quint.

Um, not at all. Jaws is iconic. BTTF.....sort of but not as much.
I believe Jaws scared millions of people from going into the ocean. BTTF was just a good flick.

I thought the only King Kong movie made by Universal is the 2005 one. The classic was Paramount.

Yeah true an attraction based on The Meg would seem kinda weird I guess but all I am saying it can bring back Jaws as a interest for the 3rd/4th gate.
