I'm guessing he is referring to the rumors that SNW got delayed and/or moved.

To further what rhio4ever is saying,

We KNOW the SNW land is going to be amazing with at least two ground breaking attractions (E-Tickets), a multi-layer land (unique) with lots of interactive elements. So we are pretty positive based on early mockups there should be NO reason this land shouldn't be a game changer and a huge hit. Well we know NOTHING about the plans for Zelda... What if it's just a stunt show and an interactive walk-through ala Posedions Fury? What if it's just simulator and some flats? We don't know anything at this point, and what if (god forbid) it's not a huge hit/ game changer? People will come and they might be unimpressed or just content with the new land.. Then when they hear SNW is opening they might say... "Oh that's nice, but remember that Zelda land it was only so-so no need to go back right now" where as if they go to SNW first they will be like... "OH MY GOD!!! SNW WAS AMAZING!!! I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHAT THEY DO WITH ZELDA... AND VISIT SNW AGAIN!!!!"

just playing devil's advocate.

That’s terrible. Calls it a Pokémon theme park then says it’s just a land. Then where do they even get the 2023 date from?

There's no way in hell that Universal waits that long (unless all Nintendo properties go into Uni. South, which probably won't happen). Did you watch the video at the beginning? The top three properties listed at the bottom are LOTR, Pokemon, and......... Family Guy :thud:

It says Hollywood is going to come second before Orlando. From what I heard, I have not seen as much activity in the Lower Lot lately. Maybe we get ours somewhat next year.

LOL yeah, Fox is the king of adult-animation, right alongside with WB (Robot Chicken, Aqua Team Teen Hunger Force, Rick and Morty, etc)

To give context to the article, this comes from someone who is associated with Theme Park University, Josh Young. And that a lot of his information seems off, as I wouldn't be so sure.

Also, the timeline is off if they wanted to do Pokemon for Kidzone, as we would've seen it closed by earlier in the year.

To say this with confidence, we should see developments begin for Universal Hollywood as soon as the Summer, and then if the rumors of Jurassic World are to be true, expect the closure sometime around Labor Day weekend to absorb those crowd flows.

Sad part is, I could actually see Rick and Morty in a theme park someday. But I can't picture Family Guy ever getting a theme park presence.

I am going to be blunt, there is no way in hell that Rick and Morty comes to the parks, if any. It's too risky, and isn't exactly something that can easily fit into Universal's target audiences.

That’s just sad. What’s the point of waiting for the third park in Orlando then? People will just go to Hollywood and be done with it. I’m no theme park designer or planner but to me it seems unwise to have your big centerpiece land of a whole new park open somewhere else in the same country earlier.

If Hollywood starts this year it could be ready by 2021 and I don’t see this new park opening until 2023. “Come see our new park where the best land is one that’s been open in Hollywood for 2 years already!!!” If this is the case there better be major changes and additions to make it a true centerpiece over the Hollywood version.

Not Universal, but somewhere else. Meanwhile, Family Guy doesn't translate well into a ride, or anything at all.

I think you are confusing Nintendo with other projects that Universal Hollywood is working on.

Then allow me to ask this, why are you bringing IP's like Rick and Morty and Family Guy up when they don't even make sense to bring up in the first place?

__

That said, perhaps we can get back onto the topic of Nintendo? :bored:

No worries.

To get onto Nintendo, what makes me curious about the possibility of Zelda, is that it strangely has a few ways it can go around.

One instance could use Windwaker as the basis, and having a stunt show replace Sinbad with then the story of Windwaker getting TDS Sinbad'ed into a classic water dark ride. I think that alone could be interesting, and lead to a family area that would offer a high quality indoor dark ride, a indoor show, new shopping and dining, and perhaps elements of interactivity.

Then, another could be the openness of Breath of The Wild. Perhaps one of the aspects could be that it's set in a small village within the kingdom of Hyrule, to then when guests board special carriages using divine tech (like the motorcycle in Champion's Ballad), and then having the core attraction being a family dark ride with small elements of thrills, and then having a interactive walk through experience telling the story of Princess Zelda and the fall of Hyrule.

That said, there are still plenty of other ways that they can tackle that IP, regardless of it's popularity.

If JW turns out to be a land-based ride, then we will lose out our only major water ride in the USH park, so there needs to be something major modifications from it. That said, the Lower Lot feels completely unfinished since it's a smallest out of the two lots and no matter what, even if it's permanent or not, it still feels like it's completely unfinished and needs more expanding. I'm not surprised if SNW is going to coming second because it's what USH desperately needs.

We got the Simpsons area going on so I think that takes care of it. The only adult-animation to receive a theme park area and attraction in the world so far. Family Guy, as much as everyone loves it, doesn't have the cultural impact that the Simpsons have. I would LOVE an area that is catered to adult-animation park in general, but with the pending Disney/Fox deal coming up, it might not happen.
