I know it's for the best... but now we have to wait for creative to cook up a whole theme park to go along with it. This is going to feel like an eternity! I guess on the bright side there should be some cool stuff at WDW and the potter coaster to tide us over.

I would be shocked if you didn't get other stuff from Universal as well before then.

No Sean don’t you know the only thing coming is Nintendo because UC employs only 10 people. Duh.

Potter coaster opens next year. How much should we really expect to open between now and then?

The Yoshi omnimover ride will have more than 40 Yoshis on the ride path at once. Each will seat 2 guests (1 adult + 1 child, I believe, don't quote me on that.) Load/unload is a moving platform turntable. Despite earlier reports, it looks like 2/3 of this attraction will take place inside with fully fleshed out show scenes, and only around 1/3 outside, but still including moving characters in those scenes as well. The ride will have more than 40 moving figures throughout the attraction including goombas, koopas, thwomp, and many more characters from Yoshi games, as well as iconic elements from the Mushroom Kingdom like rotating coins and smiling clouds (like seen in Japan animated commercial.)

I want this ride immediately! It sounds like it would be an absolute delight.

Yeah I agree, sorry I misread a previous post that said the potter coster would tide us over until the new park

No worries! Also bear in mind that Universal isn’t really in the habit of announcing anything more than a year out, so it’s par for the course for us not to have anything official past 2019 (unless you count the Wet N Wild hotels).

DK and MK both have ~14 scenes, including load. Both have Express and Single Rider Lines.

The Yoshi omnimover ride will have more than 40 Yoshis on the ride path at once. Each will seat 2 guests (1 adult + 1 child, I believe, don't quote me on that.) One of the play areas is themed to Bowser Jr and may include interactive stations, so might be less of a traditional "play area" and more like a mini attraction, (perhaps VR or AR?)

In addition to all the question mark blocks you can hit and other interactive elements around the land, several of them seem to Pikmin based. Not sure what they are or how it's interactive, or how it relates to Pikmin (whatever that is.)

Also, there may be AR stations throughout the land where you look through viewfinders and see extra elements added on top of reality, (kinda like mounted viewing binoculars at landmarks like Statue of Liberty, but these add characters or smiley clouds or something on top of reality.)

That's all for now.

I'm pretty bummed by the lack of apparent movement on the project for Orlando. But I'll keep y'all posted on any insider news I hear about a new location or changes in plans. So far though... radio silence.

Just imagine a ghost appearing in front of the viewfinders around Halloween. That would be awesome.

Also, Pikmin? That's really surprising.

Ok, so why exactly has the “work stopped completely” thing gone around when Japan hasn’t stopped at all?

I thought that they were working on that Midway path between Jaws and WW during a period of time? Because as far as I remember, that is the main path to SNW.

Yea, work didn't stop, just shifted to different areas of the project and is now back to the main site. Someone mentioned dirt piles not being changed for a few weeks and that sparked suspicions.

I think that talk mainly started from a poster that didn't really have any info, that kept comparing Nintendo to Avatar, and only posts on this site once in a blue moon.

Because what I assumed was new video a few weeks back showed absolutely no progress (in Japan)... just dirt. Todays video shows things are quite different. I would love to know why there was such a discrepency.
