So going back to Pokemon, if anyone playing Ultra Sun and Moon notice how many things they added to the games which seems to be made with theme park usage in mind such as Mantine Surf, Ultra wormhole traveling journey, Pikachu Village, and Team Rainbow Rocket Tower?

Can we be snarky about it?

TBF, at this point, we basically know what's coming into the Studios and the options on the other parks are pretty limited. Especially with the permits, we could probably conceptualize a section layout too, apart from minor details (flat rides).

I think this is a topic people WANT to discuss, but there's little directly connected to it that we can still discuss without rehashing things ad nauseum. Logic dictates that, after Mushroom Kingdom (with DK and Yoshi), Pokémon and Zelda are the most likely to be added. The potential for Kirby, Star Fox and Metroid mini-lands exists, but they're all cherry.

What different "levels" do you all think will be included in the Mario Kart ride?

Rainbow Road and Bowser's Castle are givens, but what else to you expect and/or hope to see on the ride?

But we’re getting into discussions about Philadelphia in this thread.

Some want to continue to discuss Nintendo over and over, and some others come to the forum once a week or month and want updates on news and rumors. It’s a balancing act the mods are trying to attempt.

People keep referring to this new land as "Nintendoland." Do we have an idea of what it will actually be called? I recall Mushroom Kingdom being thrown out there.

Throw in Moonview Highway where you have avoid trucks and you have a deal.

Although, if they're using projections, I would hope there's some randomization to what levels you get.

Start with Mario Circuit (doesn't change)
Second "Race" (outdoor) - Either Moo Moo Meadow (Plain), Koopa Beach (Tropical), or Sherbet Land (Snow)
Third "Race" (indoor) - Either Bowser Castle (Castle), Ghost Valley (Mansion), or Toad's Factory (Factory)
Final "Race" - Rainbow Road (doesn't change)

The items and animatronic racers wouldn't need to change, only the projections and whatever AR stuff they're throwing at you. The ride will already have massive reridability. Randomized stages would send it over the top.

It should be "Super Nintendo World" just like Japan.

I think it's also very likely that we'll eventually have a similar naming scheme to the Wizarding World where the sections in the various parks have their own subtitles:
- "Super Nintendo World - Mushroom Kingdom"
- "Super Nintendo World - Zelda's Kingdom of Hyrule"
- "Super Nintendo World - Some Pokemon Crap"

Within Super Nintendo World (phase 1) will be Super Mario Land, and that's been throwing me off. I think they're calling the Yoshi and themed area between the rides "Super Mario LAND" internally, but that's contained within "Super Nintendo WORLD."

So, my bad for saying "land" all the time.

It should be Super Nintendo World just like Japan, yes.

In my mind, "Super Mario Land" makes more sense within context of a singular "Super Nintendo World" at the other Universal properties. Perhaps here we'll have "Super Nintendo World - Mushroom Kingdom" and "Super Nintendo World - Donkey Kong Country" within USF to align with the eventual Zelda and Pokemon areas. Otherwise I think it just starts to become confusing for the guests if you start having lands within lands and such.

We can, literally, go through every video game franchise, calculate recent sales and player stats, and point to why they are pale comparisons to the general appeal of Mario and the Nintendo franchises. I've addressed three of the franchises you mention in this list already. Two of these games have only had one game released (Cuphead, Last of Us). Several haven't had new games released in a decade or more (Crash and RCT because remasters don't count), and a few have seen sequel sales and player stats drastically diminish after a strong debut (Titanfall, Destiny). Even CoD and Halo are starting to suffer from over exposure (both of their most recent sequels failed to reach the levels of prior sales).

This isn't a question of if they would work as attractions or lands. Statistically, there is no objective validation that any franchise aside from Mario and Pokémon would actually get people to show up at theme park.

I'm a gamer. I'm not picking these arguments apart because I don't like them. I'm picking them apart because, looking purely at business sense, Universal trying to leverage them is a bad idea.
