They have had alot of love in the last year for the 25th.

My sister and her family just came back this last week, and from her photos, some areas are alot nice than they were when I was there last July.

I think the love it needs now is expansion. But we'll see!

DLP is in the best shape it's been in in a long time... WDSP is where the money needs to be spent. I can easily see them plopping down a SWL over there.

I thought there was a lot done for the 25th, including park upgrades and hotel renovations.

Was a third park by a certain year always part of the deal with the French government?

I'm not sure, I know there was a certain amount of investment in housing etc required.

I'd be happy with a WDS expansion.

Star Wars has never done as well internationally as it does here. While its certainly a possibility, I don't see it as a slam dunk.

It was more about expansion than the current state of the parks.

I wouldn't be surprised if Disney did announce that DLP was getting it's own SWL, what better way to attract people to the park, it would certainly give me more incentive to pop across and visit.

That opened a few months ago actually, although unfortunately it is entirely in French.

Disneyland Paris Disneyland Paris ride and attraction closures – Disneyland Paris

So I was planning another trip to DLP next year in early July. but according to this, Phantom Manor is set to be closed from January 2018 thru September 2018? I think I might have to pass as it's my favorite attraction there. Definite dealbreaker for me.

heading over to Paris in a few weeks time so I have been genning up a little as its a few years since I was last there, 2011 I think, anyways whilst trawling google I stumbled across this Youtube video of the great Tony Baxter doing a guided tour in the Disneyland Parc.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching Tony telling his stories of how the park came to life and the fun he had building i, for me it's a must watch, hope you guys enjoy it too, if you haven't already.

Interesting that the Thumbnail of that video uses the DLR SM :)

Looks like all this YT Channel does is repackage Official Footage badly!

This is the year to go, 25th anniversary and a few upgrades to see. I going over in about 6 weeks time and I'm looking forward to it more than my last few WDW trips.
Probably because I've overdone WDW in the last few years and not be to Paris in six.

Should be a good trip, spending the weekend in London (might do a Harry potter movie sites walking tour) before taking the Eurostar direct to DLP on the Monday. Staying Five nights at the newley renovated Newport bay club also looking forward to trying Walt's restaurant for the first time.

Also taking a day trip into Paris.
