Nothing. The fact they could cram 7 attractions and a plethora of interactive and play areas in that space without sacrificing ET made me giddy. Rework ETs entrance, use that expansion plot, and go to town. They'll need ET with the 20% jump in Attendance.

As long as they use that same amount of space and the different levels, I'll be more than happy with whatever IPs they pick. If they cut the expansion pad and don't do levels- essentially cutting the land in half, I'll be a little bummed.

This is a lot of questions, but I don't care if you guys don't try to respond to them all or even only respond to one thing:

Do you guys think they are going to have stuff underneath some or all of the higher level walkway in Japan and/or Orlando? Is it still going to be similar to what was in that early map? How much room do they have for stuff underneath the upper level walkways? Will Mario Kart and/or other attractions that seem like they have entrances on the upper level take up a lot of the room underneath the upper level's walkways? If there's walkways underneath the upper walkways, do you guys think there's only going to be one level underneath the upper walkway or could there be two levels underneath the upper one (at least for some places underneath there)? I could see them putting some old arcade games underneath there somewhere and maybe some more recent ones. I think they put in some new ones at various Dave and Buster's businesses. There's a Luigi's Mansion one, but I don't know if they'd put it in there in case they wanted to make a Luigi's mansion ride later. There's also a Vive Mario Kart adaption recently that's been made, but I don't know if they'd put that one either because they already have a new ride. (Mario Kart Arcade GP VR Gameplay And More - YouTube They could also have some sports games reminiscent of various Mario Sports games and the same for games to do with Mario Party.

Could any of these companies that seem to have plans for future autonomous cars that are connected to the internet or some other kind of network to communicate with other autonomous cars help Universal make this Mario Kart attraction or is that stuff still too far off into the future?

Having seen some people discussing Mario's height in the Odyssey game, it makes me wonder how tall they will make the Mario characters be if they appear in suits or with costumes and makeup in the park.

Is there any possibility of something like a Kirby cafe or a LoZ themed business appearing in CityWalk or maybe multiple things even including an arcade?

It's interesting that Nintendo is making two Metroid games soon. I wonder if it's because of the shrinking console sales in Japan and therefore catering more to what sells better in the Western Hemisphere and/or because Universal likes the games possibly because they have some scary parts to them and that is something they have tended to like to have in their parks sometimes. They could change the MIB area and Fear Factor area to be possibly based on just Metroid or it and something else like Luigi's Mansion. I'm not sure which would fit better where, but maybe Luigi's Mansion might seem like a better transition to Harry Potter than Metroid, but that puts the Mansion farther away from where the main Mario area will be.

EDIT:
Forgot to mention that I think Universal could eventually do something similar with Splatoon that they have done with Minions in regards to the water gun.

Last Universal Summer Festival is coming back with a lot more minions with the Minions Water Surprise Party which will also involve snow. Promises to be the largest and wettest event at Universal with the new hot items being:

This year they are expanding to open more refill locations to fill up your water shooters and stay drenched at USJ.

I wonder if this is like a test for a system for a water area involving Splatoon. Do the Minions ever use water squirt guns like this in the movies?

Also, I forgot that I think the new Rabbids game seems like it could be made into some sort of laser tag kind of attraction. Rabbids seem kind of like Minions so I wouldn't be surprise if Universal likes them. I'm not sure where they would put it however.

I had to remove a lot of it, because it is just simply too much.

1.) There wouldn't be "actual cars".

2.) I would imagine that for the area itself, walkaround characters will most likely be as large as they typically are.

You have to suspend your disbelief a bit, and I even joke about it in a sense, with "Mega Pikachu" as my favorite of the names I call.

3.) I would imagine that as of now, Super Nintendo World will NOT be replacing Men In Black: Alien Attack. And if they were to do something else for Nintendo at Universal Studios Florida; I'd imagine that it would not be Metroid-related.

Nor, would I see it replacing MiB or FFL. I would say, if there was an expansion for USF; it'd be by the tents/new parade building that is used for events and parades (and it wouldn't be replacing the parade building now in-place).

There's no way the "leaked" concept art ten pages back is legit. Moes tavern and quicky mart area is equivalent to the footprint of the entire donkey kong land. You would need a third gate to build everything in that proposed layout. Sorry if this has been discussed I didn't feel like going through the last ten pages lol

It was verified by one or two of our reliable insiders here that they are legit old plans. A few things have changed, but it still gives you an idea of the general scale they are going for.

Did you also not see that @Joe confirmed that those were, legit. And, that @Brian G. took them down, and took them down also today on the Osaka page.

It was the original pitch, it does not show any real look of the current state, outside of Mario Kart, Donkey Kong, and Peaches Castle still being present.

Gary Snyder (where the images first showed up) followed it up with

"Content released to me through NBCUniversal's counsel, Davis Polk & Wardwell, governing a large trove not exclusive to #Nintendo. #Creative"
and
"In a few years, from a shiny green pipe #SuperNintendoWorld will reveal itself. Early art? Yes. Why? Hint: ET. #MarioKart #DonkeyKong #Zelda"

I don't care who confirmed what at all. The point I was trying to make was there simply isn't enough room for all of that, legit or not. Doesn't seem practical to pitch a layout for all of that when you clearly would need more space. Why not just pitch ideas first? Doesn't make sense to me.

That raises a question to why ET. Does that mean the ride is, theoretically staying and in-turn; is getting an overhaul inside and out?

Or, are they going to gut the attraction, and put something Nintendo-related into the building in a way?

And may it be reminded to you that Super Nintendo World, has been said (and confirmed by Universal Japan themselves) that the land would've been multi-floored. Which, would allow more to be done that would've been fine.

And that Pitches, don't always have to be practical. In a sense, I can give multiple examples of attractions from Disney AND Universal that, had many different kinds of pitches and ideas before they went forward on a more practical version. It's just to see, what could they do; and how they can do it.

I can also vouch that these are legit. Those spaces are bigger than you think, and that map may not have been necessarily to scale.

I would say if Nintendo opens and ET is still there then it's safe, but even then they cut get rid of it for an expansion...ET doesn't seem like it'll ever be truly safe and its time will have to come soon. I don't want it to but we'll see.

Before Brian took down the images, someone actually cleverly did a form of a scaled version of just the layout of the land onto Kidzone entirely; and that, for all intensive purposes, it does fit in rather well and that I don't see as much of an issue as you are leading onto Gigawatts.

We must not be talking about the same layout. There is not enough physical space in that area to accommodate all of those ideas, period. Maybe a third of what was proposed, if that.

I am not going to risk my own safety here on the forums to prove you, that Super Nintendo World's original pitch, would've fit.

Unless @Brian G. allows it, I am not going to compile a version of that art with it scaled to Kidzone's plot, including the Parade Building currently next to the land.

It's still on page 279 so it hasn't been removed... if the one you are talking about has been removed then we are talking about two different diagrams...

The image on the right, is the one that we are talking about.

And that, is the one that I mentioned of the compilation of that and the Kidzone plot of land.

Ok. Must not be to scale then. Seems strange going to the trouble of creating a layout that isn't to scale. I mean look at kirbys play area, it's no bigger than moes...

I mean theoretically yes you could fit everything in there like that if that truely was to scale, but everything would be almost comically small. Don't get me wrong I would love to see all of that happen...
