The Studios just seems to have a really huge capacity now and the park seems so much larger with Diagon. Just my perception though. I don't think historic ride times are a good indicator now since capacity has increased by so much, all at one time.

Not only that. I just went to WDW this weekend with my niece who just turned 5. While there, I realized.. there's actually more to do for her at the Universal parks than any other Disney park except MK. That was a pretty huge revelation. She's going to UO very soon.

Just got back from Orlando and I agreed with you about Disney parks........outside of MK, very sparse and very stale. Hard to believe that Disney has been so slow to react and have let their parks slip this much. They continue to squeeze the $$$ out of guests.......but it sure seems to me that they are close to a breaking point. People just are not going to keep paying top dollar for an inferior experience......it WILL come back to bite them!

Do you guys remember that area with rocks at the end of the London embankment wall near San Fran. It's still with rocks and it looks like crap. They can fix that with less than $3,000.

Funny, I just sent a long-intended email inquiring about the embankment wall the other day. I don't expect to hear back for some time.

But yes, that gravely beach area is an eyesore... there must be a very good reason they didn't dig it down below water level. Perhaps major pipes and electric. Why it hasn't been plussed is beyond me.

I was there for HN and it looks very ugly. I can't believe they left it like that.

Yes, we were thinking the same when we were there the past two weeks. It's an eyesore that is really noticeable. When we were there in May we discussed what we thought would go there and they evidently never touched it.

Wouldn't it be cool if someday there was a Burrow attraction (similar to Swiss Family Treehouse) that you could use your interactive wand in to cast spells?

Sorry if someone already posted this somewhere- it just came to me in a brainstorm this minute.

Got to see Fountain of Fair Fortune show live several times and it's much better in person, after some practice, and with most of the opening day cast. Most of the Parkscope guys liked it more than Three Brothers and Celestina.

We liked it better than Three Brothers too. But I'm partial to Celestina since I got picked to participate in the Cauldron song & dance, and unlike the others I saw picked who just stood on stage, I took the initiative & hammed it up. I danced the whole routine with all four girls, who were delightful, and even grabbed the boa and wrapped it around the girls while we danced on stage. Great fun.

Just whimsy... but how many of you would consider buying a bronze signed version of the Gringotts dragon in bronze mounted as seen on the bank?

30" tall would be $3500 (think of the model dragon picture that has been posted)
14" tall would be $1200

14" tall bonded (fake) bronze $295

Oh, and I forgot to mention. It would be a limited edition. 100 30" and 200 14" solid bronzes.

Nope, but I'd totally buy a poster size version of that LTE print they did for Diagon opening.

Gosh, I am getting old and forgetful... did I already post the record store cover selection story here yet? I know I held off on it for a while to allow UC brains to mush a bit.

....Now what did I want to say? It'll come to me......Heh, welcome to the old and forgetful charter club. We may not always remember what we wanted to do but we'll sure have a good time trying to figure it out..................Oh, here it is. Congratulations to Universal Orlando for a terrific third quarter. May many more expansions follow.

Ok, here goes. When the props department was dressing the record store window, they had either already placed a disney record cover in the display or it was in a pile waiting to be put up. Apparently, when Woodbury saw it, he angrily grabbed it up and tore it to pieces.

Lesson: There will be no mouse in Woodbury's house.
