Absolutely! This visual guide shows they're on the right track here. And the concept of a Wishing Well getting poisoned and corrupted is a real nice touch.

It's a nice way to have some original storytelling in an IP land.

Where did the family coaster rumor start ? Was it the magic boards? In the presentation and that video they mentioned “high thrill” so I’m expecting this is something at least on par with Tron or RnRC…possibly even more thrilling?
A story coaster with a dragon finale seems like a no brainer.

I believe it was rumors getting mixed up. Original concept was more Hagrid+ in scope.

Those giant stone hands gripping the chains on either side of the ride entrance are so cool.

I'm expecting this is Disney's "response" or counterpart to Hagrid's. Fast, but the dark theming will heighten the perception of it being intense.

Really glad they didn’t try to modernize the villains like Dark Universe did to the monsters, love the direction they took it looks great.

Never thought that would happen. The Disney animation characters haven’t really changed over time. Disney continues to market on that nostalgia.

There have been all sorts of variations of Dracula , Frank, etc.,, it made sense with the story to create modern takes. Although I’d argue only Dracula is really different from the original Bela Lugosi character. The rest of the monsters are close to their counterparts .

That name reveal was pretty funny, and also entirely the right call. I think keeping it simple is a really smart move. You don't need to overthink it by calling it "Creepsmore: Land of Villains" or something like "Galaxy's Edge: Batuu". Everyone's been calling it Villainsland for 20 years. Stick with what works.

Very excited with the direction they're going with. I was very worried by the softer and more comedic rumors, leaning hard into Wrong Lever coaster and other sillier stuff. Seeing a scary Maleficent thrill coaster make it to this stage of development and reveal is very exciting and exactly the kind of addition I was hoping for, based on the original concept art.

Cruella killed on stage - she was basically doing crowd work at a certain point haha - but through all of that I'm still a little confused on what exactly they were announcing there. I had thought it was a ride announcement (I'm pretty sure she even said that) but apparently not? That was a bit of a flub for the presentation.

Yeah- it was weird.

I was fully expecting her to demand they make her an attraction and then them announcing a “surprise” third attraction for cruella but not give details (assuming it to be a minor kiddie attraction). Then she kind of said something but didn’t at the same time.

She should have came out before they revealed the attractions. That whole stage show was a mess last night.

It feels like whatever they had going on with Cruella was a last-minute addition to the land they didn't have anything else to show for.

It's okay to have "title only" announcements, but if you only have that idea to announce, you have to make sure that single title is clear enough.

We know what "Journey into Imagination with Dreamfinder" and "We're fixing the Yeti" and "Metroid Prime 4 coming for Switch" mean without anything but a logo and a sentence. Cruella's Villainsland addition didn't translate clearly at all.

I think actually calling it "Villains Land" feels kind of lame and uncreative. Sure that's what we've all been calling it but I expected it to get a more themed and immersive name like how "Star Wars Land" is called Galaxy's Edge. Even adding -ing to become Villain's Landing would've been more of an effort than actually calling it Villains Land lol. Feels like such a placeholder name.

I'm pro-Villains Land as a name as of now. It just makes sense in a park where the other names include Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, Adventureland, and Frontierland lol. It's a park with a "Keep It Simple, Stupid" naming convention. No reason to stray away from that.

I kinda see it like EU as well. The land there is "Dark Universe", but it still has a fun themed location name of Darkmoor Village. No reason they can't do that here.

That's a good point. I hadn't really thought about it but you're totally right. That keeps it cohesive with the other land naming conventions of Magic Kingdom.

It's a funny thing to consider, honestly, because personally, how I feel varies so much from park to park. I'd probably roll my eyes a little at calling it Villains Land in any other park, but it just makes sense in MK.

You're 100% right! I feel silly for not even considering that lol. Makes sense now.

assuming the villains featured in the show will have either a meet or greet , or some kind of shop.
Cruella = clothing
Facilar - bar / lounge ?
Evil Queen - candy store (poison apples?)

No. It appears to be the Pan TDS or Infinity Defense ride system. At least they did this over trackless.

People keep saying this when it’s clearly a boat and water in the concept art.

Also it looks very similar to the Coco ride vehicles more so than Infinity Defense.

With Spiderman at IOA already why try to compete?

I would have called it Villains Village.....with a heavily themed "dark" Fantasyland vibe where you have a central area of M&Gs, shops and dining....then they could have had 2-3 mini lands that fan out from the village with varying themes depending on the ride IPs.

That being said....love the artwork and aesthetic that they presented.
