EDB has a lot of physical action and violence. It would be very interesting to see how they portray that. Fusing the chaos of the fight scenes with guests walking through could be cool. Actors moving chaotically through a room, noises, and sprinkling of boo holes. It could be different than the traditional set up. I'm excited to see it.

This is something I've thought about as well. It's just a physically brutal movie with a lot of fighting - it would be cool to see small vignettes of actors being attacked/running away like you said.

Sorry for rhe double post - but I saw that Universal City Studios filed a few trademarks for the use of Hamikuma.

... could Hamikuma appear in the carnival/clown zone?

So is the Fortnite rumor still in the running or ruled out yet?

Dead Silence is a movie with immaculate vibes that also barely functions as a movie imo. It has the perfect combo of imagery and influences but the characters outside of Mary Shaw are dumb.

It's kind of perfect for a remake/legasequel imo, iconic movie that didn't get it right the first time.

It’s the only rumor for Central Park.

...I like the movie, but the main character is, uh... lower than usual on the horror movie protagonist intelligence scale. That said, it's some of Charlie Clouser's best scoring work. The main titles of Dead Silence probably see nearly as much play as Hello Zepp for me.

Also, I know some people in this thread aren't necessarily fans of Hellraiser, but I'm hoping they were able to license Christopher Young's score for Hellraiser and Hellraiser: Hellbound because it is easily some of the best, most evocative horror music ever written and I will die on that hill.

It's a shame it doesn't get nearly as much recognition as some other more popular horror titles.

Hellbound just feels tailor-made for walking into a soundstage and walking up to a facade

Not sure if this is the right thread but - I’ve never been to HHN before and this will be my first year. I’m not worried about going into every single house just the ones I want (which is mostly Hellraiser); would express pass still be worth it?

In my opinion no. If you arent worried about seeing everything (I really think you should see everything!) then there isnt a reason. Unless you really like spending money and hate lines.

I don’t mind lines but girlfriend doesn’t ; plus it took five years to get her to agree to go laugh out loud.

Get there early-ish (stay tuned to the planning thread for what that might actually mean this year), hit Hellraiser then whatever else you can until your group is tired.

The reveal of
what she did to Michael
was incredibly scary imo.

But lots of things in it that make no sense.

Hey so they haven’t released premier passholder ticket nights yet? It’s sooo much finagling on the app you have to do.

Hellraiser IMO is better as parts than its whole.

Soundtrack? Great
Characters? Unparalleled
Design and lore? Awesome

Movies... Ehhh? I legitimately think a Hellraiser house (and the upcoming game) could make a better product than anything we've seen from the property thus far.

Also Evil Dead Burns was awesome because of the direction, not the writing. The house will come down to the intensity and scare actors... But don't all houses?

I do not understand Universal Orlando’s strategy in delaying FFP and being secretive about FFP with Express ticketing options.

As far as we are aware, there has not been a delay. No date has been announced for the release of multi-night tickets.

FearFactorBlake said:
Obviously I will still go to the event regardless of ticketing options but their lack of transparency feels like they’re playing games with their most loyal consumers. People took off work last Thursday in hopes of ticket drops. It’s all sad and gross and has made me lose interest in HHN. It’s become too COMCAST.

I guess my question is: what’s the strategy? Why wait to drop FFP SO LATE? And why be so secretive about express options? Why not just do a Hollyood and drop all tickets at once? Genuinely confused as it makes me not want to spend a dime at Universal until they provide transparency.
I don't see how there is a lack of transparency. FFP is released on the second Thursday of July sometimes, but not always. We are now only 3 days past that. If someone requested work off that day, they were taking their own risk because there was no guarantee that tickets would be sold that day.

We will likely get more information imminently...

The lack of transparency is that they randomly limited multi nights with express the past 2 years with no notice to people that bought that product every year. If the rumor is true that the option in not available at all this year, it is very much another lack of transparency. I'm going first 2 weekends, got an amazing hotel deal and treating as a vacation anyway, but will cancel my October trip if rumors are true. Save myself thousands in hotel and park spending, or maybe just do Howl-O-Scream instead and stay offsite and still save.
