Finally went in this. Yeah, it’s bad.

About halfway through I just kinda gave up on shooting because I had no idea what I was doing. Was literally shooting anything because I had completely lost interest.

What a waste of space. I think we owe Jimmy Fallon an apology. Even Shrek was an upgrade from this.

My only hope is that with the way UOR handled marketing for VCMB including not really giving it an official opening ceremony, its a temporary attraction that can be phased out with little fuss, perhaps as part of a front entrance redo of the park.

It stings even more that the prime design compromise of VCMB was due to the presumed need for a HHN flex space. Unless Universal cheaped out on the attraction as they don't view it as a long term thing...

They said themed to Minions! So pairing a better ride with the exact same IP. Now…you still would have had all the other problems SLOP has but… still better than Villain-Con.

I think the only objective problem SLOP has is the ride vehicle, which we shouldn't assume would have been duplicated for a similar ride in Orlando. I have to believe there was some unique circumstance outside of Universal's control in Hollywood that necessitated it, because it would be baffling to believe that they intentionally wanted a limiting vehicle for a ride that otherwise is meant for anybody to be able to go on it.

Yeah, if time was an issue, perhaps they took the ride manufacturer's basic vehicle design "off the shelf," so to speak, to save time having to fully redesign/customize it beyond the aesthetic look of the exterior.

Or local zoning/regulations required seating difficult to get out of (I believe this was speculated after it opened, but I've never seen any actual indication of such local regulations existing).
