When the Vegas venue closes how much of that stuff do you think can be shipped over to Orlando to use for HHN here?

I think they're going to slow roll things a bit after dropping the icon/theme everyone's expecting and possibly the associated house.

Have to remember Spooky Empire's still coming up end of May.

Why would they close the Vegas venue? I am told they are opening another one here in Chicago, and I'm IN for that! We had a blast in Vegas at HU. There are so many people who are Halloween all year round that even if they didn't know what HHN was, they would still enjoy HU. There is a reason Halloween amasses appoximately $13 billion yearly in the US alone..

I'm really hoping for at least one house announcement this weekend. Just give us a crumb and not just an icon(s).

i do wonder how its doing ..... are they bleeding money? is it profitable? WHERE IS LADY LUCK?
i was/am very excited for it as i live somewhat close but haven't made it out there yet. i know vegas is somewhat declining in popularity compared to early 00s. my knee jerk reaction to it is "this is awesome, but i can't imagine it lasting long."

but who knows..i hope it lasts and continues to evolve.

sorry if this is off topic for this thread

A Legacy of Nightmares is unironically a really good tagline. Makes it clear it is "Anniversary Year", and it's the kind of a tagline that can be easily interused for both Orlando and Hollywood rather easily.

Expecting MegaCon to be a eventful showcase. Thinking this will be more on the scale of when Murdy does MidSummer Scream, but with the Icon announcement added in.

Just conjecture on my part. Doesn't seem like the type of thing that has staying power. Would make for an interesting Defunctland episode.

You're a little bit late to those discussions! I have no idea what the longevity of the attraction will be, naturally, but it's not in any immediate danger of closing. Consequently, I doubt they have any standing plans to transfer the props/sets/costumes anywhere.

I think Oddfellow is a more compelling character, with a unique motivation amongst the other icons. Jack, by design, is one-note and extremely cliche. Oddfellow is very not in almost every way.

I'd love to see oddfellow lead the new and "forgotten" icons: sindy, the house, pumpkin lord, eddie (he was gonna kill jack, so i assume he'd be with oddfellow), crowe, lady luck, maybe even bloody mary if they wanna pay for the rights.

have jack/fear lead the big icons (usher, paolo, storyteller, caretaker, chance, and maybe eddie if oddfellow doesn't get him), and have oddfellow lead the new era, and give the forgotten icons their moment

Now I’m imagining a big fight as a scare zone and The Usher has a trident.

Pumpkin Lord isn’t forgotten though, but he also had a cult and many followers. He’s a Halloween God Of Samhain.

He has

Cat lady of crooked lane

Major Sweets

And some others.

Dr Oddfellow will most likely make a deal with him. And a War agaisnt Fear would start. Leading into 40.

I imagine you guys are vastly overestimating/projecting the level of specificity and scope of the lore involved in whatever this is going to be.

Agreed. If we get Jack V. Oddfellow. It’s going to be Jack V. Oddfellow. No more. No Caretaker, Usher, Director, etc.

As much as I would like to see other icons. We won’t be.
