There will be continual realignments in the streaming business. They're nowhere near their original 'unrealistic' profit 'wish lists'. And then, you will see the subscription costs go up, and most people will end up paying, in a few years, just about what they paid for cable, and less choice overall. ....The almost free ride is going to disappear.

I finally caught up with EPIC RIDE: THE STORY OF UNIVERSAL THEME PARKS on Peacock.

Or as I might subtitle it "A SALUTE TO ALL UNIVERSAL PARKS... BUT MOSTLY EPIC UNIVERSE."

Definitely heavily-weighted towards Epic (which it was commissioned to promote), and that’s fine, but the door is still open for a definitive account of the creation of Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure (the parks without which Epic Universe wouldn’t exist). Those parks deserve IMAGINEERING STORY/DISNEYLAND HANDCRAFTED-esque intensive chronicles. What’s here on that front is okay, but it’s maybe 35 out of 160 minutes if you edited it all together, and left this viewer (and USF/IOA fan) wanting a lot more. It does, however, get credit for very bluntly conveying how much of a complete operational disaster the opening of USF was.

Really, the best thing this has is seeing Jay Stein recognized for his vital role in driving Universal’s theme parks towards where they are today, and getting to witness Steven Spielberg’s involvement through the decades.

Enjoyed the first season, but it's really found it's footing in the second. You're in for a treat.

Also, only released the pilot so far, but The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins made me laugh. A lot. Even more farcical but the actors are great with that.

Glad to hear it, I enjoyed St. Denis Medical first season but happy to hear it gets even better.

I hope its getting good numbers so we get more seasons
