News on this front:

New reporter from WESH did a little digging--probably won't be tunnels, but something closer to this: (from the company that lost out on the bid).

Waymo meets a jitney meets dedicated bike lanes. Still seems an issue being able to get the land, even if it largely tracks Universal Blvd, but I admit I'm intrigued.

So a dedicated direct bus lane without the labor cost and with smaller buses? Maybe I'm not perceiving it correctly, but that doesn't seem like a marked improvement from the current solution.
