I really don't know what to say but this timeline sucks

Fun fact: As of today, DLR now has something WDW does not, and that’s dinosaurs. They are literally extinct at WDW while they live on in the Railroad diarama.

Once again, another W for DLR and another L for WDW.

Primeval World is a huge reason why I love riding the Disneyland Railroad so much. It takes me right back to watching Walt Disney Presents late night on Disney Channel and showing Walt with the dinosaur animatronics.

I went to Disneyland and DCA Saturday

Got on 30 attractions with the longest wait time being maybe 15 Mins for Monster Inc or Peter Pan at midnight when the park closed

I used LL and used it on 9 attraction, only real complaint for LL is GOTG....it was 11 AM and it said none available. This is the one attraction that just need to shut down and get all 3 towers working, its like so hard to get on this ride with 2 towers on any days that aren't dead which is rare. Just take the L and close it for a month and get this ride back in shape.

Also while I didn't wait much for rides what I did notice is how DCA can't handle even basic crowds. Besides GOTG LL being out at 11 and the line was 2 hours the entire day. The food lines for the booths looked insane, like the Q's were full and leaking into walkways, just insane. Along with the meet and greets for the Lunar New Years characters being long or if your the Turning Red Panda, the line was so long they said we would not make the next character and need to wait and an hour and a half for the one after this one.
Disney get a hint and just no other characters when you bring out ones people want, if it was just the panda coming out it would still be bad but that line was a joke.

I saw WOC Mulan pre show and its cool with the fireworks at the end but i think the Muppets Pre show is just...perfect but also can't fault them I guess for limited time shows to draw people in.

Disneyland was mosly chill, most rides were not getting lines over 60 mins and after seeing Paint the night (best show at the resort, in my opinion) I walked on Pirates, Casey Jr, Pinocchio and then Snow White twice and with 5 mins to midnight got in line for Pan. The buss lines for Toy story when I got out were low and they werent even filling busses because they had so many busses wwaiting to end their night

It was a solid good day, with my only real complaint is DCA needs a show in the Hyperion sooner then later to help eat crowds, DCA just can't handle people and we are two years from Avaengers so yeah. Also One show from last year was "cut" they had a music show near Sonoma Terrace for Lunar new years last year...it seems like it happens at the bandstand at the Gardens but was not happening when I went.....so lost a show which was needed

Main Point Disneyland is pretty much perfect and DCA still needs work to handle whats happening in the park for events

I was also at Disneyland on Saturday. We intended to park hop over to California Adventure but the lines stretched well past the midway point of the esplanade, so we turned around and went back into Disneyland. I think I've complained about this before, but the new facial-recognition system sucks. It takes an eternity for the photos to be taken on your first entry because guests don't understand what is happening and even after your face is in the system ... you've gotta scan your admission. I hate it.

Anyway, it sounds like DCA was an absolute zoo so I'm perfectly fine with us missing out on that. They've got to find a way to improve food and beverage operations at their food booths (or open more booths) because the lines are long enough that I don't even bother anymore. Disneyland was comparatively quiet in the morning, which was a nice treat. Just a couple photos and observations:

Disneyland stays winning. The atmosphere at the front of the original Rivers of America with the Mark Twain prepping for operation while a live pirate band sings outside of Pirates of the Caribbean entrance ... tough to beat.

The current state of the Portos under construction at Downtown Disney. Portos is good. I like their food and beverages. But I really hate how far this encroaches into the esplanade. I think it's going to look tacky and bad to have this visually clutter up the park space. That said, looking forward to a new go-to spot for cold brew between the parks.

This is part of a trend that I've been whining about for a decade. This is both unbelievably lazy for a company charging as much as it is for admission and it cheapens how guests feel about your merchandise in general. Part of the reason guests are willing to spend a bunch of money on a t-shirt is at least the feeling that it's something you can only get in the store (or park) you're standing in. We need more unique merch! Not less! Rant over.

The photos are super great for MKs and people coming back in

But yeah the first time...it can take time. Plus for the southern CA ticket, you need to bring out your ID.

I had it ready to go but I assume thats 1 in a million people do that.

I love DCA but right now your not missing much unless you go to the parade and live music.....most rides just are having trouble with the crowds and thank god Monsters is still around once its gone LLs for ride will go even quicker for the park and with one less ride the other rides will have to deal with that as well

I just hope they have a plan...there have been rumors of a new show in the Hyperion Theater to help...but who knows if thats real

I just don't think they're that great for Magic Key holders either are they? I think this is slower than it was back in the day when your photo would pop up on their screen and they'd just use their eyeballs to make sure it's you. This system takes at least several seconds to scan your face, determine if it is your face and then *long pause* finally opening the gates.

Its about the same

At least when I went it worked pretty quick but yeah some people can really slow it down if they do not understand.

I think its testing for one day just letting people scan tickets and walk in. I mean I assume one day they only want one CM per two gates, to save on labor for the parks
