Watching it tonight and only heard good things

I hope they can bring the show back and even if its only 8-10 episodes a year keep up this kind of quality. We might see more movies and spin offs from the Muppets

They also need to find more ways to bring the Muppets to the Parks. This is how you get guests invested in characters now is shows and meet and greets.

CNBC (Business network) talked about that this morning. They mentioned a number of very glowing reviews and ratings.

We also enjoyed them in their Xmas show at Jollywood Nights at the B&B theater, which was packed both shows we attended.

Yep, that ruled. Please, please, please push a full season order on this, Disney. Genuinely got a bit emotional watching it by the end.

A lot of great bits, especially Muppet Labs, Blinding Lights and the finale. The best possible thing I can say about this is that—apart from some rhythm and energy hitches that seem to hit “pilots”—this actually FELT like the Muppet show. I wish the script went a little further with stuff like the “kink” joke, but if this is the trial run, the future will be an absolute return to form.

The pilot feels like a warm blanket you didn’t know you needed.

Outside of me thinking they should’ve had one more sketch, probably with the Swedish Chef or Fozzie, I think this is an exceptionally strong outing that understands what makes The Muppets Show as a variety concept, as strong as it does.

Really hoping this gets full green light.

I loved this. The Muppets have been, I think, pretty darn good under Disney ownership but haven’t gotten the proper promotion or run needed to expander their audience. I hope this changes things.

Hopefully this will make Disney more willing to do things with the Muppets like they used to, like parody movies of things like say Beauty and the Beast.

Literally been waiting for something like this for 15 years since The Muppets movie. They actually pulled it off perfectly. Feels just like the classic Muppet Show, with the chaos, hilarity, and fun you expect from these lovable critters. Thank God Disney finally used the Muppets correctly. Feels amazing to have them back where they belong: on the small screen. This special was ABSOLUTE PERFECTION. Here’s hoping we get a full season now!!!

5 STARS, no notes!

I have desperately wanted a Muppet Monsters movie where they parody the classic monsters.

Kermit as Van Helsing
Rolf as Phantom
Animal as Dr. Jekyll (and his Hyde is a suave, well-spoken gentleman)
And an Invisible Man bit where, after drinking the potion, the muppet disappears but the puppeteer’s hand remains visible.

Eh, this is probably close enough.
