I was agreeing with them that they should program and use the stage more

Forgive me if it was meant in good faith, but it is also a good example that not every disagreement is meant to be dismissive or rooted in bad intentions.

They could very cheaply get local bands to play the stage during the week. I'd assume a lot would do it for free for the exposure. I can see reasons not to do that though.

Chief reason being you can’t eat exposure for dinner.

For a park with major issues, reworking an area feels like change for the sake of change. Have the time and attention on other things.

they can do what most bands do which is have a merch table since ticket websites take so much money from the band lol

Let me just say - I never rode Rockit. I never rode Velocicoaster. And I will never ride this.

I'd much rather this have not been a big thrill coaster at all - but it'll be nice to have the kinetic energy back in the park.

All that to say, and it's been said many times, this is being debated because there's nothing else to discuss right now. Once there's more tangible stuff, no one will care about the name anymore lol

Yeah, Uni coasters as of late have been one-and-dones for me. Velocicoaster, Stardust, even Flying Dinosaur at USJ... all nauseating to me.

I saw some of the maneuvers this one is doing while testing at USH and yeesh. The cars spinning and going backwards are definitely going to place as another one-timer and never again for each park.

I'll follow all the developments because what else am I gonna do but also... when we gettin' another dark ride? :lmao:

That's rough, buddy. I say this with love ... when's the last time you've gotten a win coming from Universal? haha I feel like the only impressive ride we've seen from them this past decade that wasn't a rollercoaster is Unchained.

I'm with you in rooting for a solid dark ride soon.

Universal to us asking that question:

(Though we can hope, like the way the rest of that scene plays out, that we will eventually be rewarded.)

Gonna' be real blunt here, "Paying in Exposure" is NOT it. There's a multitude of reasons why it has such an incredibly negative connotation. Legacy does mention one reason.

And to add to that, exposure doesn't pay the bills, it doesn't pay to move and set up your equipment, venue fee's, gas money etc. etc.

A major theme park is not the place to do a show for free, especially when it has plenty of shows and performers who're getting paid to do theirs. Not to mention it would look incredibly cheap (and bad) on the park itself if they weren't paying bands to perform there.

We just got an entire new theme park with 3 world class dark rides……I’d say we’ve been rewarded.
