Even if this coaster is good, using F&F for a new attraction right now feels lazy imo.

There seems to be a general lack of enthusiasm for this IP being invested in for theme park use. But anyway, I'm still curious what it will be called:
  • Fast & Furious: NYC Drift
  • Fast & Furious: New York Drift
  • Fast & Furious: Manhattan Drift
or
  • Fast & Furious: Brooklyn Drift

I'm placing my bet on New York Drift because it the most vanilla option.

I mean it’s replacing Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit - wouldn’t it just be called Hollywood Drift?

It's in the middle of New York. Rockit was in Production Central when it opened, so the Hollywood name made sense.

I really wonder if they'll do Florida drift. If they do Orlando Drift then even more people are going to call is Universal Studios Orlando.

It’ll likely be called New York Drift.

The queue/station for Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket was ostensibly in Hollywood (Production Central is basically an extension of Hollywood sits it’s mimicking a Hollywood studio. The new ride’s queue/station is in New York.

They can’t call it Hollywood Drift because 1) the queue/station isn’t in Hollywood and 2) they have to differentiate it from Hollywood’s ride. They’re very unlikely to name it with an association to Florida or Orlando because nothing in the park has a direct association to Florida/Orlando other than the park name…

Now… if the queue/station was accessible from CityWalk, then yeah… I could see it getting a Florida name. But based on what we know? It’s NY Drift.

There's also the possibility that the name of the coaster isn't any variation of "_____ Drift". There are other name options out there.

I’ve only been to NYC once in high school, but there’s one glaring problem with New York: There’s nowhere to drift. Traffic is gridlocked everywhere lol

I know the area the ride is set in is NY, but is there anyone stopping them from calling it Florida Drift?

It’s seriously the most boring, non-creative, bare minimum choice possible. But oh well. Big coaster go fast - so it’ll be fun.

The Osaka coaster in the front of their park is called Hollywood Dream.......it's not truly relevant but thought I'd mention it

Is that area of the park named/themed as "Hollywood"? The equivalent for this project being New York?
