The last half of the episode somewhat redeemed things. Now if Mike had ran in to die with her and it had showed them at the waterfall in heaven together, that would've been <chef's kiss>

Lots of things I wanted to see from the ending bit--I know some complain about a long resolution but to me it's necessary. Good end credits sequence too.

I HATE the last half lol :lmao: :lmao:
just TERRIBLE :lmao:
the battle with the giant monster was the good part but absolutely everything besides the big fight has been awful

It's all good either way but may I ask, are you not a fan of drawn out endings ala RotK and Endgame? I've seen so many complaints about both but I felt that in both cases it was a near-perfect resolution. If I'm that invested in a series I want quality time to say goodbye to the characters. The Harry Potter ending was far too abrupt.

For me the monster battle was too safe. I genuinely thought there that it was just going to be a squeaky-clean victory and that would be that. If you didn't see I initially posted the Mario death theme in frustration hahaha.

what I hate is the long time jump.to be completely honest I do hate time jumps specially for final seasons.
time jumps might as well be abrupt endings because there's like no closure to what just happened, we are supposed to like, imagine how the previous scene ended. time jumps to me are kind of terrible because the characters after the time jump might as well be a different cast

and I know you could say "there are always time jumps between seasons" or "people grow"
but I just feel like it's both lazy and cheating to jump out so far during endings. either shows or movies I hate time jumps

The writing is bad.

The acting is bad.

The CGI is bad.

The plot points of the finale was… serviceable if, at least, entirely predictable.

At least it’s finally over.

EDIT (now that I’ve finished it)

Dustin’s final speech really didn’t jive at all with what we saw during the show. The show was basically 5 seasons of nerds being nerds with a couple of jocks doing jock stuff. I don’t know where that came from.

It was fine…

But overall a letdown.

I think the final moments was a solid goodbye, however.

More thoughts in the AM

I was worried going in -
I was expecting 2 hours of chaos and action and was pleasantly surprised when that didn't happen.

I'm both shocked and glad that they committed to Eleven being gone. Dead or not, she isn't there. I was waiting the whole time for her to pop back up lol

The last 10 minutes got me a little misty, i can't lie.
