Apparently several restaurants went down Labor Day afternoon. I mobile ordered fine at 3 locations (Cafe Le Siren, Burning Blade, Pizza Moon), then tried to get Toadstool Cafe for dinner and left when the entire restaurant was having issues with missed orders and food. I walked to Oak & Star, and their mobile order was "just fixed." Worked out fine, thankfully - food was great and came out super fast.

I'd shrug and think it was a fluke if the same thing didn't happen to me at Minion Cafe months prior and my order (along with dozens of other guest orders) was lost. I've shared my story there before so I won't repeat, but I feel like Universal Mobile Order has it out for me personally at this point.

I recall the year and a half they reopened after covid they forced people to use mobile ordering just about everywhere. The result was
super long lines just to pick up the orders, screwed up orders and p _ _ sed off guests. Then they backed off of it and most guests used
lines and the ones that preferred mobile used mobile. And that worked well. Now, it seems the techno's that want phones for everything
are back in charge....screwing up guest's vacations. ....Universal execs that make these decisions need to realize it didn't work to the
guests' advantage before, so back off already.

When their mobile ordering system works, it can be really convenient. However, when it doesn’t work, it throws everything into chaos and makes a whole restaurant full of guests become angry. In my particular experience, the restaurant was slow and they could have just taken my order right away.

After their system stopped working, the tables started getting full because nobody was getting food and nobody was leaving. And when the orders finally got taken manually, none of the servers knew where the table numbers were. I was asked several times what table number I was and almost given other people’s orders.

Operationally, Epic Universe still has some learning to do.

I would rather order at a counter any day or, preferably, a real table service.

But, at this point, I'm a pro at going to Das Stakehaus and ordering a Duvel* or Crooked Can. :cheers:

If the app is having probs, nothing to be done. They really should have some counter lines ready in that case.

I'll gladly show off my method for a beer. Just DM me when you want to meet up at Das Stakehaus. :grinning::cheers::grinning:



*Duvel has a 6.66 ABV. Lovely. :lmao:
