Wicked needs to happen, 100%, doesn't matter which park they add it to.

Oz: Emerald City with fantastic dining and shops, then a dark corner of the land with a Wicked Witch ride. Then a munchkin land area of the land with a kiddie ride. Based on the books which are now public domain and also pulling characters from Wicked.

The Wizard of Oz is more popular than ever with the 4D movie show at Sphere Las Vegas on track to be a permanent show (in between concert residencies) on track to earn $100 billion. I realize this is not owned by Universal but there is so much overlap that it will be mutually beneficial with constant promotion and continued popularity.

This is Universal's answer to Disney Princesses, and nobody doubts the success of Princesses and castles down the street at the competition.

I have a strong feeling that’s what is replacing Lost Continent at IOA

Insider @Disneyhead said, a couple years before Toothsome Restaurant, that a Charlie and Chocolate attraction was being considered for
the Lost Continent redo. It never was greenlit....but they did put the highly successful Toothsome restaurant in soon after.

WB wanted too much money.

That was in early to mid 2010s. Netflix now owns the rights so it'd have to be negotiated with them.

Plus, once they built Toothsome that idea was history. Universal was also considering a Christmas Land as a replacement
for LC back then. LC has had lots of suitors but no wedding. Interesting what happens now. Pokemon? Wicked? or are they
red herrings.....Guess we'll know in a couple years.

On a different note, I do believe it'd be to the park's benefit if they were to look back towards those very initial Nintendo concept ideas and build a proper, larger scale play area within Donkey Kong Country. Expand into that seemingly temporary steel jungle backdrop on the right side of the land, and build some jungle-y treetops and treehouses for little ones to jump, slide, and run around in.

It is a massive and surprising issue for Nintendo Land to have nothing on offer for younger children. The interactives cost $40 and are all far too timing / skill-based to serve that purpose; and every ride has a decent height restriction. A proper play area would do a lot to help expand the offerings for families, and DKC seems like an incredibly natural place to do it.

If they were really smart, they'd give it it's own seperate music loop of a few different fun DKC tracks, and have the shaded area where the parents sit playing Aquatic Ambience and Forest Interlude. Hard to stay stressed out listening to those! :nervous:
