3.5 acres which is plenty for expansion of this park

Are they still using the old Creative building for Creative or has that been moved? I'm wondering if that building could be on the chopping block.

I assumed that Loews would probably take over that space since they have their offices and facilities in there.

theres a boh ops building and security check point between that and the VB expansion pad

Lakewood was mention on a permit i was tracking but it needs resubmitting

I’ve always wanted a hot springs/bubbling springs area back there with the ability to heat those springs in the winter; they wouldn’t need to heat in the summer. I’m not sure how lucrative that would be or if there would be an actual draw for the winter, but it was always a thought as I loved going when it was first open in the winter with zero crowds.

Ill be the first to say I don't really get into the armchair Imagineering thing that some people do, and I came at this expansion pad thing from a point of view of what realistically they have room for, and like....it was interesting thematically of how they continue that through to expansion which is why I settled on the more volcanoes thing. I guess if that's the kind of thing they did they could easily add a low shallow section they looks like a hot springs would be really cool

Very smart design. The cabanas bring in a ton of money and another water coaster is a must although I would want it to go trough the whole expansion and not just on one side. The wheel is fun to look at but I think Universals lawyers aren't happy with it as people can panic and will be hard to reach. Also when it breaks down it's a nightmare to empty the thing.

My personal preference is for VB to receive 2 water coasters (either another Krakatau or a ProSlide Mammoth for improved capacity), and a themed bar.

The initial layout was based on Mammoth actually, however that is built into a hill with 18 metres of elevation drop, so I realised that building that ride would kill like half the expansion pad with all the support struts it would need

I'm sure they can find a layout that maximize the space efficiently.

Now this is a water theme park attraction! This would begin to sell that initial 3rd Gate marketing to me.

Give me the Roller-soaker's, the water-based flat rides, a proper flume! I've said it before, but Volcano Bay as it exists is just a themed water park.

A flat ride like that would be cool and would totally help them lean into the "this is a theme park" thing they keep trying to promote. With the increased night time events now, I'd hope they design this new area with that in mind. I want a nice lighting package, light up geysers/springs, maybe that previously rumored illuminated sand or whatever etc. I'd also LOVE to see a highly themed indoor grotto-like bar space like Beak & Barrel.

I'd argue I would rather have the Slidewheel than another watercoaster.

Having a visual magnet that'd drive attention could be really good for the back half of the park, especially next to the freeway like that.

I would personally believe the long water coaster + SlideWheel + some other thrilling ProSlide additions would do just fine for an expansion

OR they could move those other 2 slide complexes to a later date, and instead build an 8 lane ProSlide RallyRacer of some kind

I was under the impression that the relationship between Universal and ProSlide is not great after all of the issues with the slides on the initial build. I wonder how realistic it is that an expansion would still use them as the slide vendor? The competition is limited, but Whitewater West is an option.

Only slide that I know had issues iirc was Punga Racers. Unless there’s a whole other thing I don’t know about.

But yeah. They could go with WhiteWaterWest too, they make similar rides.

Actually if they went with them. They could probably do some crazy things with the Mat Slide variety. They have a model called the Mat Blaster which no one has built in North America. So they could market that pretty amazingly

That said, it's been nearly 10 years. I'm sure there are people on both sides with hard feelings, but I don't think it's out of the question they'd work together in the future.

Remember that Whitewater did all the post opening retrofits so if we get new slides I bet it's from them.
