Permits note that this replacement is set to be an "Amusement Attraction" in the space currently, and soon to be formerly occupied by the Hollywood Rip Ride Rock-It rollercoaster. Demolition is currently underway following Rock-It's closure on August 18th, 2025.

The news coincided with a Notice of Commencement from Intamin for work in Universal Studios Florida, which some believe could mean we are looking at a new rollercoaster project for this space.

Permits show multiple new buildings being constructed in backstage areas currently designated for parking, seasonal HHN house queues, and Fallon extended queue space.

The current leading rumor is for an Intamin rollercoaster based on the Fast and Furious franchise, to potentially open sometime in 2027. There are other speculated ideas currently being brought up as well, and we don't currently have enough evidence in any direction to assert specific theming or offerings of this upcoming experience.

And of course, nothing is confirmed until UDX themselves speak on the project.

Great recent coverage on the topic from ParkStop, published 8/06/25.

Just like the IP this ride will be based on, has quite a distinctive smell too. Only without the smell of plastic in turn.

The demolition going on seems really quick-paced, concise and thougjt out. I wonder if they’re going to try to get things clear as much as they can ahead of HHN next week.

Fair or not, if this is themed to Fast & Furious, the ride will have one heck of a mental handicap to overcome bc of the current F&F abomination.

I feel as if the current ride has left a difficult to treat stain on the entire park. It is always an automatic skip for me unless I want to con newbies into thinking it's the best ride in Florida - then I will ride it for the sake of the joke.

I actually rather enjoy Fast & Furious Supercharged, so bad its good, and I always take the SR Line so I skip the preshow, its always a walk on and more often than not I get a pretty empty party bus as the rest of the normal queue are suffering the preshow, probably takes less than 10 minutes out of my day when all is said and done.

I'd still prefer a Ghostbusters coaster though, and it would be nice for USO to get something totally new.

A fast-paced coaster themed to F&F, which is a rightful use of the IP, will be very popular and will completely right the ship with the IP's presence in the park.

One thing I believe the blueprints thus far revealed is the load station will be moved away from behind SS42 into a new building closer to the Ghostbuster firehouse facade. To me I think this could also be future proofing for an entrance point into the SS 18-22 cluster.

The preshow is by far the best part of the ride for me, you couldn't pay me to skip it :lmao:

The present stinking version of Supercharged will be forgotten....but not until it's closed for good. A skunk of a ride.......Now, if this coaster is F&F themed, that will be popular since the F&F ride should always have been a coaster.

The concept of a new entrance plaza for the coaster in place of the current New York backdrop facades is the thing about this potential expansion I'm most excited for. It'd be really cool to see that guest area expand and serve a much greater functional and aesthetic purpose, especially given it's the first area you see when entering the park.
