It must be staffing. Only runs one side in morning, but when second shift starts and there’s Tm overlap they run both sides for the middle of the day, then back to one later.

This is interesting. Staffing has certainly been an issue since re-opening. I once saw a single TM operating the entire third floor of Simpsons! The line was slow as hell, but I wanted to give her a giant Voodoo donut or something for all the running around they were doing.

I believe the staffing theory.

Remember that rumor that UOR had let go 100 / 500 / 1000 TMs because of breaking the rules during previews?

A couple of notes from this week which I learned from various people:

—Attendance is still capped fairly low, and since kids started going back to school it’s been below that cap on the weekdays.

—TMs now getting two Epic comp tickets per month.

—Annual passes supposedly not happening until next year according to several sources.

For annual passes, I'm curious to see if they'll allow an upgrade for current passholders, or if you'll have to wait for renewal to add Epic.

As far as staffing and other issues, I'm curious how things will be handled as we move into the "slower" season of Fall, then into "insane" season after that.

Stardust only running one track is an incredible bummer. Like, the Monsters preshows being down sucks and should be fixed, but the ride is still the ride. Losing the dueling aspect on Stardust compromises one of the main draws of the attraction that's referenced in the name of the ride. About as close to "bad show" as an outdoor/lightly themed coaster can have imo.

If they have to open a ride later because of staffing issues I’d much rather that be Constellation Carousel or something else. To not have both sides operating on Stardust simply because of staffing is definitely an odd decision.

Not to jump on the beatdown train towards Epic operations, but both times I've tried to get on Carousel have been awful. A 15 minute wait ballooned out to much closer to 30, technically under shade but in actuality still at risk of heat exhaustion. TM's slowly guiding guest towards their cars, and slowly checking on their belts. For the limited amount of guests in the queue both times I've ridden, it should not have taken nearly that long. It makes an already awkward carousel experience all the more underwhelming and deflated to wait far longer than should be expected.

Sure isn't sounding like Operations values their guest's experiences.

I don’t think there’s too much more Ops can do on Constellation Carousel. It is maybe the most beautiful and visually stunning carousel ever — but that might be the only thing it’s good at, unfortunately

I had the same experience when I was there a few weeks ago. 20 minute posted wait was almost 40 minutes of waiting before we actually got on. The load and unload and safety checks seem so slow, and an influx of Express Pass guests didn’t help.

I guess I just don’t understand why it takes so long between cycles. I get that it’s a a little more difficult to assign groups given that’s not 1 person, 1 horse, but it seems to take foreeeever to do the seatbelt checks and then for the ride to actually start after that.

It's really shocking how long belt checks take by themselves. I would honestly really be interested in seeing their capacity numbers. It'd be one thing if it was just a legitimately difficult system to operate, but a good chunk of the time my party spent waiting was because the TMs themselves were just kinda meandering slowly to each seat.

SNW pretty consistently has the "Yoshi's have stopped!" omnimover delay announcement playing amongst all the game music too. Maybe it's a lack of training or resources or something, but it just seems like a lot of Epic rides are really not hitting the numbers and consistency that they should be.

It's one thing for Ministry to run at reduced capacity, but an attraction that can operate at full capacity like Stardust and Carousel need to be running well at all times.

Running Stardust at reduced capacity is not only silly from a operational perspective, but also ridiculous when you consider that the racing element is the reason for the thing to exist as a dueling coaster.

I'm really hoping this is just a short term glitch.

The funny thing is - and maybe I'm missing it - but I haven't seen a ton of people posting about extended downtime for Ministry. Has it gotten a lot better?

Stardust running one train is like riding The Mummy with the lights on.

I'll be there with a large group who hasn't been to epic in about 2 weeks, and if Stardust isn't dueling much and the Monsters preshows are both down, it'll be a big bummer. Hoping they can operationally get it together for Stardust at the very least, though from all accounts here this seems like the norm these days.

If Stardust does duel, is there a time of day to best catch it? Or is it seemingly more random?

I'll be there in about 3.5 weeks - I'm assuming the preshows for Monsters being down was just a temporary thing?

Last I heard, they're still down. So, you're right from a certain point of view.

Middle of the day, starting around noon or 1pm perhaps, maybe as late as 2pm. I would keep and eye on it and be prepared to jump in line as soon as you see both cycling together.
