The more I think of it, the more I think this really makes sense. See below, which was from HHN Japan 2024. This kind of screen-based attraction would fit in the Dreamworks theater very easily / logically, and it would satisfy the criteria from Gooner to be "new" in quotations - new to Hollywood, not new to HHN globally.

I think you’re reading the tea leaves correctly here.

I could totally see them putting a HamiKuma meet and greet next to the DWT too. That’s close enough to the Plaza, right?

Both of these could be a testing ground for some more exports from USH Japan - and with Monstruos seemingly taking its final bow this year, one has to wonder…

Oh man I really hope you’re cooking here with speculation already. A Japanese mythology house would be AMAZING.

I concur, as an example of that style, peak Shadowlands at Knott's was awesome.

In a funny way I've had Chainsaw Man as my Prayer circle of this year (like how Weeknd was last year) since January. It's always made sense that with FFN, that the door is now open for USH seasonal to be integrated into that of asian horror however they can. It's probably one of the last really big wells for IP's and potential concepts both pre-existing and in original origins.

Hoping Chainsaw Man + Hamikuma are coming to Hollywood, if only for the potential if GSAT's treat the two experiences well.

We'll see, but I think the posters in this thread have cracked the mystery of DWT. It makes total sense to have Hamikuma has a meet and greet / photo op in the lobby of the DWT (similar to what they had for FNAF and other Blumhouse stuff in 2023), and then an attraction like Chainsaw Man in the actual theater. I remember the post earlier where someone thought Hamikuma might be in Dia de los Muertos Plaza, but I think it makes far more sense for that to stay LatAm for at least one more year to coincide with Monstruous 3.

Personally, I am not especially interested in Chainsaw Man (and didn't love the video of that attraction I linked earlier), so this would be skippable for me if we are right. BUT, I absolutely love the idea of the LatAm horror house becoming the Asian horror house for a while, and doing global legends/monsters rather than just those from one region. Hollywood has proven it can do LatAm monsters, Orlando is doing Galkn/Nordic monsters, so why not do Asian, African, Irish, and other global monsters? There is a rich universe of source material to explore there, and I think starting with Japan and Asia would be awesome.
