If you're a fan of the WNUF Halloween Special and it's follow up, Out There Halloween Megatape, the creator, Chris LaMartina, has a new project from the same universe: Trick or Treat with Reed Richmond. It's up for Pre-Order and while it won't have the unexpected twists and turns of WNUF and Out There (it's allegedly just a straight up hour long history of Halloween sort of mini-doc with a weird personality leading the way), I bet it'll have some of the same weirdo, cult Halloween vibes that hit in October.

He's also said he's working on an official third entry in the series, so I say it's a good idea to support the pre-sale and let them know we want more of his wacky Halloween stories!

If you enjoyed WNUF, I think you'll also love Mega Tape. If you're looking for the most pitch perfect basic cable retro Halloween vibes, LaMartina's films just nail them. Mega Tape has some great twists and turns much like WNUF and they're both perfect Halloween season staples.

Highly, highly recommend supporting him and his films. Super pumped for the Reed Richmond feature as well as the third full entry into the WNUF series. If you like the 'live broadcast' genre of horror films akin to Ghostwatch or Late Night with the Devil, definitely check these out. They are some of the most authentic feeling spooky Halloween soaked pieces you can watch during the season!

As maker of extremely low budget horror films myself, I am always really impressed with LaMartina's stuff. Excited for this next one.

So.... M3GAN 2.0. Lmao. Definitely not a horror movie! It has SOME slasher elements here and there but it's more of an action movie. I personally really really enjoyed it still, but I fear it's one of those love it or hate it movies. It's really silly and takes itself a little too seriously at times, but I had a lot of fun with it and laughed at all the comedic bits. I just wish they had gone a lot more crazy with it tbh. I do hope if they do a third film they go back to a more horror route but I doubt they will. Here's hoping

I never really understood the thought behind turning M3GAN into an action/comedy/horror hybrid. You turn off some horror fans because it's now not horror and are action/comedy fans really pining for a killer doll turned action defender plot? The marketing I've seen just seems to push it as quirky and campy and eh. I wasn't the biggest fan of the original but this feels like an even bigger misstep. You could have turned M3GAN into a character audiences could cheer for without such a drastic tonal shift.

It's supposedly tracking to do not very well, box office wise, which doesn't bode well since they seem super gung-ho on making an entire M3GAN universe of films.

it probably has to do with how the most memorable and talked about part of the first one was the dance lol.
the first Megan was ok but a little generic and slow, but the dance went viral,
they probably wanted to capitalize on that and make the entire sequel silly
